Show Notes Transcript Chapter Markers

Sid and I have journeyed from podcasting greenhorns to industry trailblazers, and we're finally cracking open the vault of memories in a heartfelt reunion. As we relive the missteps and milestones, we also dive into the enthralling realm of digital toy collectibles and NFTs, which are reshaping how we cherish memories and interact with our favorite franchises. From Disney's cutting-edge ventures to philanthropic art initiatives, we unpack the seismic shifts awaiting us in entertainment and retail, promising a new era where nostalgia is digitized and every experience is collectible.

This episode isn't just about industry chat; it's a window into the soul. I get real about the intricate ballet of managing a bustling career with the commitments of the heart. Striking that harmony between entrepreneurial drive and the soft whispers of romance hasn't been a walk in the park, but it's a dance worthy of the finest ballet. And in the true spirit of community, we shine a spotlight on the magic woven through collaboration and the unconditional backing of our Web3 comrades.

We leave no stone unturned, from the excitement of upcoming events and project promotions to the powerful resonance of love and loss. As Sid and I encourage our listeners to reach out to those they hold dear, we hope this episode serves as a gentle nudge to celebrate the bonds that matter most. It's an intimate close to an episode brimming with laughter, revelations, and the enduring message that at the day's end, it's love that weaves the most compelling story.

Speaker 4:

Good evening my friends. Thank you for coming through tonight with us. I have to tell you I have been a bad friend, a bad bad friend to my good friend Sid here. I've been trying to make this happen. He's been trying to be patient with me for like weeks now just to get on a space and hang out. I'm the worst, oh my gosh. As a lot of you know, I'm the worst, oh my gosh. I, I, uh, as a lot of you know, I coach my kids. I've got this crazy dad life and it. It is just silly how sometimes it can be hard to just schedule a one hour space outside of the normal schedule, and I'm so glad we're making this happen. How are you, sid?

Speaker 7:

Yo, what's up, brother? And you know I was thinking to myself like we could have just done a phone, brother, and you know I was thinking to myself like we could have just done a phone call. You know I really was, you know, just kind of missing you, brother, and thinking about the old days of Web. We're going to get back to those days, but in the meantime, it's definitely nice to be able to hang with one of the real OGs, and I appreciate it.

Speaker 7:

This may be a super short space, you guys. I don't see a lot of people on here. I know there's a lot of spaces going on, but I just really wanted to say yo, brother, shout out to everybody that's here. By the way, mr greens as always, I think he's under the crypto homies star dogs, joey uh, we got uh dem in the house. And mccremon I can't see the whole name mccremon, sick, whatever. Let me give you a follow back, brother. Appreciate you being here giving you a follow back, but but yeah, bro, you know just wanted to say yo, and how are things going by you?

Speaker 4:

Good, my man, isn't it crazy? I mean I, I remember what I mean. It's years now at this point, but when I was first hopping into spaces playing the innocent newbie like, hey, all you guys, I'm new here and now we're seasoned vets in the game, I would say we're a couple of the only OGs left. I would even be confident to say how do you feel about that? What does that make you feel like?

Speaker 7:

You know it's good to have been able to go through the ups and downs. I'm looking for some ups. I'm, you know, building a lot of stuff, as you know, but it does feel kind of strange. You know, it's totally a trip to be truly an OG. We've been doing our NFA space and now with Xenu for over two years every Wednesday.

Speaker 7:

We used to do multiple spaces. You know how we used to do. We used to do five six-hour spaces. We used to do multiple spaces. You know how we used to do. We used to do five, six hour spaces and I was doing, you know I had an alpha space on Fridays with, you know, with Lokes, you know, from the board apes, I mean, we were, we were doing so many things and I look back at all the posters we made and all the graphics we made, which is the bubbles of all of our PDFs in there, our PFPs, and those were the days, man, you know those are the days. You know I talk about founders, supporting founders and really how we're going to grow in the space and it's really the only way. And you know, the people that were that way are the people that are here. Everybody else kind of ducked out and you know, you haveylan up here from star dogs and income island uh, definitely, somebody who's who's a you know a founder that supports founders, um, and you know, obviously, all the people in the room here, you know, support people that are doing real things in web3. So I'm excited, brother, I've had a really, uh, a great week. We, we got a big milestone with the homies. Uh, we're, we're, we're about to do our second big bounty on Sunday, so we'll be picking a live winner in the space. Um, someone's going to win a nice cash prize and, uh, we're just plugging away on the mint.

Speaker 7:

We, we, we're building our digital world, which is our digital collectible toy brand. Uh, we launched our, our Willie G. Hopefully we're posting some stuff up at the top. I'm sure Mr Green is posting some stuff. You got to do it and you know we've been, we've been, you know, trying to get through some of our IPM. You know, brother, we started like 23 projects, you know, all from day one, and so we're now gearing up to launch our ralph sampson, our nba hall of fame collection.

Speaker 7:

Uh, I've been working lately with slash and his team to finally launch, uh, the slash digital collectible toy we designed, which is bananas. I mean, these are things we finished, you know, 18 months ago, that have just been waiting, um, and so it's. It's crazy to think about all the things that we, you know, we talk about, you know, having projects and build these projects longterm. But can you imagine, you know, literally building out all these collections, that I, that I came into web three, uh, and barely have have even put anything out? Um, so it's exciting. The next, this, this coming year, is going to be real exciting. Um, so I'm I'm all jazzed up.

Speaker 4:

Ooh, that's exciting, bro. I was. I was hoping to get a little list of stuff you're working on. That's that's awesome. I know you've always got projects and you know projects lined up and that's that's really uh, above and beyond my skillset to be able to work on stuff and and patiently time it, and I love that. And you have so many connections and and uh, people probably want you to work on other stuff that you, I'm sure, have to kind of pick and choose. And my question is you know I love everything that you're doing. I could talk with you about crypto homies for an hour. I could talk with you about NFA for an hour. I could talk to you about hell, even just vital toys in and of itself, and talk about toys with you. I mean, what I guess would love to hear from you? You obviously are a very positive person. I love that about you.

Speaker 4:

I would love to hear your sentiment about you. Know, when I got into this space, a lot of it was community and artwork and it seemed kind and maybe it's just the cycles. But I would love to hear maybe a bullish sentiment I'm fishing here about you know. Do you think we'll get that cycle coming back? And NFTs. Will you know, maybe people will want to gravitate again towards the community aspect that NFTs present. I know meme coins, all that. They can call that a community, but once the pump and then dump happens, I don't know how it's, it's not as an emotional connection with a bunch of coins, as you know, one little piece of art. I just think there's some psychological and emotional differences with the NFTs.

Speaker 4:

But I'd love to hear your sentiment, and I'm guessing you have a bullish sentiment. You know, I guess I'm fishing a little bit here, but I'm super bullish, bro and at the end of the day it comes down to your individual vision and projects and that'll give you the excitement and confidence, I think, regardless of what everyone else is doing. So I just love getting fired up listening to you. So that that wasn't even a direct question. There's like a million questions in there, but I think you can. You can kind of catch the drift I'm trying to throw here.

Speaker 7:

A hundred percent. So, yeah, I am super bullish. You know, when you look at the landscape and you look at, you know what we I really believe we built, like this foundation of what's to come. You know we're going to see mass adoption. You know the things, the things that I believe that are going to take place and which are going to really put a lot of eyeballs on us are things that Disney is working on and and other. You know places where you have a ton of people going through. You know being able to give them digital assets, giving them digital collectibles as NFTs. So you know whether it's concerts, whether it's sporting events, whether it's, you know, the Olympics in the future and obviously, you know places like Disneyland, places where you know you have a ton of people going to, even malls, stores. You know we've been talking with 7-Eleven for the last few years to incorporate NFTs into our Rose program that we have with them and giving digital roses to their people coming through their doors to incentivize them to sign up for the rewards program. So you know, I think we're going to see some big plays happen where people are going to utilize this platform as collectibles, because people realize, at the end of the day. You, we call them DCTs, but we're building digital collectible toys or our animated digital shorts that we created for our Kauffman collection. These are things that people are going to collect long-term, the homies. So we're looking at the collectors coming in and people starting to collect, and that's going to start with the youth. Obviously, there's going to be a lot of people coming in.

Speaker 7:

Can you imagine you go to Disneyland and, just like you know, you might go around and collect pins? Now you go around, you use a QR code or you use their app and you're grabbing digital assets and people? It might be hey, on this specific day, we're going to have a certain amount of these assets hidden throughout the park and whoever gets them gets them. So I think we're. You know I hate the concept that we're in the infancy, but I really believe that we haven't really tapped into the mass play yet Retailers getting involved, like I said, brands getting involved, movies getting involved. Can you imagine you go to a movie and they put up a QR code for that movie and you can get a digital asset, a digital toy, which will become super or Hook? That was another one when I was a kid.

Speaker 4:

You know the Peter Pan movie with Robin Williams. Could you imagine if I had a little digital collectible from those special memories Like oh, and I just have to say I love your answer. I kind of baited you with market talk and I love how dialed in you are. Fuck off other topics Like who cares what everyone else is doing, who cares what the sentiment is. This is what we're up to and this is why I'm bullish. I just love that, bro. I love you. That was great. Keep going.

Speaker 7:

Yeah, so yeah, I mean listen, at the end of the day, brother, I've always said what I'm trying to build, I'm not trying to do a typical play in Web3. Listen, I was in it early enough. We could have very easily put out 10 different PFP projects and killed it back in the day. But I really went into this thing with this vision. At the time I didn't know that it was going to be digital collectible toys. I knew that we were going to be doing NFTs. But when I really started to piece together what do I want to do and where do I feel like I can bring something unique and different to the space, I really started. Guys have heard me talk about it.

Speaker 7:

We did physical toys back in the day at Super Rad Toys and there were these Japanese ceramic figures that my family collected, and so I turned one of those into a physical toy collection as a platform toy, and what that means is that's a do-it-yourself type of a project where you give an artist a blank canvas in a 3D format and then they create their own artwork on top of that canvas. And so we put out those physical toys. We had over 500 artists in that collection when we built it, and so we worked on an app, literally two years ago, that allows you to go in, upload your. You know, we give you a template. You can create your own art. You can upload your art onto the Go Show doll, throw it into an AR, put in the middle of the room, go look at it, check out your art and then submit it to be minted into the collection. And the idea was to, you know, build the largest community driven collection ever. Everybody, for free, can create their own go show and it'll can be minted into the collection. And all the revenues that we were bringing in was going to go to different charity things to bring art and back to kids, right? So it was this thing like globally, to turn kids on to art and get them supplies and different things they need to do that.

Speaker 7:

So we've always been working on digital toys. I just didn't know that's what we were going to call it and really where we're going with this. And that's what we were doing when I built our first Digibobbles, which is our bobblehead, what we believe is the first digital bobblehead collectible and we put out our first one. We're going to be dropping, you know, 21 really dope collectible toys, digital collectible toys, hopefully this year, you know, but over the next, you know, 12 months putting out some really dope stuff.

Speaker 7:

And I mentioned we're working with Ralph Sampson. We built a dope project with him and with Puma. Uh, we're working on on something with slash that the guy who helped me develop the slash digital toy, um, worked at Pixar for 15 years. The dude's insane. Uh, when you see the textures on this, when you see I don't want to give it away yet, but when you see the textures that this guy created and you and you get to see the, the movement of this piece because this is an animated piece I think people are going to freak. So we're, we're, we're really building long term.

Speaker 4:

I've always said that that's my vision no-transcript that you have going on and here's okay. Here's my question for you, sid. I just have this mental image of you being almost a workaholic, but not in a bad way. I think you have a really good, healthy approach to being a workaholic, but I just think you hustle so hard and it's like it's you love it and you can tell like you're always hyped on stuff and you enjoy the people you're working with. Like would you say that work is is one of your hobbies, or do you have hobbies outside of work and projects and stuff? That's a big question I've had for a while. I don't know if I'm crossing any lines there. Outside of work you're like, oh, I can't wait to get back and watch this show or, uh, play whatever video game or go, go play pickleball. What do you do, bro?

Speaker 7:

you know. So it's funny, um, that that's like a loaded question, right, um, but I want to say this the thing that really drives me, the thing that keeps me here and keeps me positive more than anything, are the relationships I built in the space. Um, I don't think, you know, listen, we don't have the biggest community, but we have a really strong community, and the people that are in it and the people that are, uh see, the vision that we're trying to build, I believe are are a good enough foundation, and a great foundation for us to build something huge. And so, without the people that have supported me and supported what we're building, it wouldn't mean anything, because I really feel like I look around, even in the space today, a lot of the people that know me, you know, we're in touch, we talk on the phone, we text, we become friends. Not only do these people support what I'm doing, but we're really friends and looking out for each other. So that's number one.

Speaker 7:

As far as what I'm into, you know I am kind of a workaholic brother, but in a good way. I, you know, I'm an entrepreneur hardcore. You know, since I'm a little kid and a lot of people have heard my story. I was hustling in elementary school building business.

Speaker 4:

I don't offend you by saying that I was hustling in elementary school building business. I don't want to offend you by saying that I think I'm in the same boat and so I almost feel like it sucks because as you get older and listen, I'm very lucky.

Speaker 7:

This last in November we did the 60-day space. I met my girlfriend and it's the best thing that ever happened to me. Uh and uh, I'll just leave it at that. I can't really talk about what the future plans are there, but there's definitely some future plans for us and so I've, you know, I I've taken a lot more time than I have in in many years. I I didn't date for 18 months prior to meeting her, and so I would say that 18 months I was hardcore. I haven't.

Speaker 7:

I'm not a big traveler for pleasure. I travel a lot for business. You know I have web, two businesses, I'm involved in other things. I'm like definitely that guy who has, you know, things that I want to do and I and I try to. I want to get them done Right. I know I don't have X amount of years left to do the things I want to do, but I realize I definitely need that.

Speaker 7:

You know that other side of things of getting to chill a little bit, so I'm starting to learn how to chill a little bit. She's helped me a little bit, uh, to do that, but, um, you know, not a lot of shows that, uh, I want to turn on the TV for, but, um, there are a lot of I do love. I do love music. I go to a lot of concerts, um, and I, I very into my family, so I spent as much time as possible with my family, into my family, so I spend as much time as possible with my family, and so that's like a key priority of mine.

Speaker 7:

Um, and you know, I, I, I kind of believe, you know, with this web three thing, it's such a different, um, hands-on approach to doing business. You know, I sell products all over the world and I don't get to interact with the people that are buying my products, right, and so there's it's, it's a, it's like web three fuels me, not only for what I'm building a web three but it fuels me just in the real world and it's kind of like that energy that I need, um to help me kind of get to where I want to go. And it's not money driven, it's not a money driven thing, it's really. You know, ronnie, my partner, which you guys all know, I have a pretty big team. We do a lot of stuff for charity. We have charity based businesses. We have 501c3s where we do a lot of different functions of raising funds for kids and for different causes, and so you know I'm lucky, I really do love what I do, so it kind of makes it easy.

Speaker 4:

Oh man, that's such a fun answer, such a fun answer and that's that's how, uh, you know, my little crazy venture into web3 has been, is is a big passion project that it's like.

Speaker 4:

I really do look forward to spending time in the discord and I I have a few tickets that I know I need to get to and I can't wait to surprise them with the awesome like I really look forward to it.

Speaker 4:

It's a it's an interesting feeling because my quote unquote career is trucking compliance and it's dreadfully boring, and so I do know exactly how it feels to be a workaholic and an entrepreneur working on things that are just survival and it's kind of it's kind of it's it's war, it's a daily battle versus working on a project or a business that's truly passion-driven and comes from a place of thinking in your bed at night and you kind of had like I can't wait till morning and you get up and spend a couple hours working on it, type thing, and I find myself really excited to be at that point with a business.

Speaker 4:

And there's exciting parts about trucking compliance, don't get me wrong and I have partners and I love it and I'm so thankful for it, but oh, there's such a difference in being able to truly be excited about your work, and so I do ask that question, knowing that that's kind of what I was expecting that you do enjoy getting lost in your work and it is a quote unquote hobby, if you will. But I'm also really proud and excited that you're taking time learning how to do that. That's got to be a learning curve, for sure, but I'm sure she's making that learning curve nice and easy for you as well. So congrats on the relationship. My man, I didn't know about that. You met in a Web3 space.

Speaker 7:

No well, no, it's funny. When we started the 60 Days of Fun, which started November 1st, leading up to it, we were coming up with different ideas of different things that we can do during the space, and so one of the things I said was and I hadn't dated in so long I said, look, I'll go on dates, I'll let the community tell me like stupid shit to wear, like okay, go on this date and just wear dark glasses at night or put on a shirt that says I love my mom or whatever it is, just whatever it is. Cause my attitude was it doesn't matter how silly I showed up, uh, I was like I bet, I bet I can let them, you know, have them, look, you know, just not even worry about that and just like be totally into it. But she was the first girl I went out with, uh, on the 60 days and, um, she's fricking rad and I got really, really lucky. So listen, when she says let's do something, I and she's freaking rad and I got really, really lucky.

Speaker 7:

So listen, when she says let's do something, I. And she's always like oh, I know you have work to do and I'm like nope, like I'm all in, like whatever she, whenever she's like yo, like what was it last night? She wasn't supposed to come by for dinner and she hit me up on her way home and she's like you know what do you think? Do you want to go grab a quick bite? And I was like 100, like right. So, um, and I was, I was definitely in my groove working, but it's, it's, it's much better hanging with her for that hour, uh, and then getting back to my work, because, guess what, the work is still there, doesn't matter oh, man, and it's certainly nice to have, you know, moments of rejuvenation and and love.

Speaker 4:

I think you work better and more productive anyways when you're back to work. So gosh, that's exciting. And, uh, I I have all all sorts of show references of cheesy love story. I love a good rom-com and that was like a good rom-com story. I loved that, bro. That was awesome. Okay, so I have a kind of a I don't know weird question.

Speaker 4:

But you do such a good job. I think Mr Green did. I hear he's here with us also, by the way. Hello, mr Green, if that's true. You guys do such a good job of keeping your ear to the ground. You know I'm a busy guy. As you can tell. I don't do a very good job of, you know, making friends anymore in the space with other projects. Do you guys have some like shout-outs to other projects working in the space right now doing cool things that you see happen? I don't know, I just need to kind of get caught up with. I just kind of get stuck in my own lane sometimes and it would be nice to get a catch-up if you guys have any shout-outs to other cool projects doing cool things right now.

Speaker 7:

I mean, listen, you've got MicroPets up here doing dope stuff. You've got Devin over at DCWB doing dope stuff doing dope stuff. You got Devin over your DCWB doing dope stuff. Obviously, stardogs Income Island. You know Zinu, what Zinu's building with MainnetZ, which you know is from the people that created Zinu. You know building their own blockchain.

Speaker 8:

We got a post I posted or pinned a post from MainnetZ up there and Income Island, if you want to talk about that.

Speaker 7:

There you go. So you know you got people innovating. You got people doing. You know super dope shit. You know I saw Bad A Billiards, I think, in here a little earlier. You know building a dope game. You got Wolfpunks. You got Invisible Enemies. I mean you got a lot of people that are that are doing good stuff.

Speaker 7:

Um, and so you know I I have a lot of great calls with, with founders and um, you know I think the sentiment is is high, people are excited, people are building. Uh, and you know we've been pretty lucky, bro. You know I I keep my. My community is is about positivity. So to this day, I haven't been in a space where there's any bullshit going on. I don't know, I just feel like maybe it's just good web three karma. I'm very transparent about what I'm doing and I've told everybody from day one what my plan is and what I'm trying to build, and so it's very easy for me to just have a really cool, mellow kind of community of people. Um, so my experience is super dope, right, it's like the projects that come around are all positive. Um, you know it was it was different back in the day, brother. You know, um, a lot of those people and I and I'm sure you know this, I mean you. You know how many projects I support. I know how many projects you supported. You know over 500 projects. I bought their NFTs.

Speaker 7:

I can't, I can only think of maybe five to 10 of those people that are still around Um, if even that that are really around. That doesn't mean that they not, might not pop in and you see them, you know, every four months and whatever, but very few people are around and you see the people, that kind of I don't even want to call it the second wave, but let's say they came in. You know, after that first bump, right, a lot of those people are around. So you see that second group, you know coming in strong and you know building. So it's interesting, like the people that jumped in who are still here. And then you have this second kind of group that have really kept it going.

Speaker 7:

You know I'm not into the FOMO. I don't play into it. I'm not actively out there, honestly, looking for new projects to invest in Um. I've invested in in so many. However, when I get introduced to a dope project like I was introduced to blips, right, I really thought they were dope, I invested in blips. And so when, when a person in my community says, yo, sid, check out this project, um, that inspires me Right. So I kind of let my community, uh, and my friends that have that, have that have built, that are now my community, kind of say, hey, check this out. Um, and those are the people I kind of gravitate towards. But I'm I'm super lucky brother, just like you, uh, and I know your demeanor and how you roll, um, you know it's all about positivity, so it feels it feels like, uh, we got good people around us and hey, also we're.

Speaker 8:

We're kind of fortunate too right.

Speaker 8:

We're kind of in the the era of where a lot of the founders are working together and there's a lot of new projects that are coming in and some of them like the mega death project down there have caught on to the fact that a lot of us are going around supporting each other as much as we can.

Speaker 8:

But some of the newer projects haven't caught on to that yet and it sucks because a lot of the support has died down over the last few months. Support has died down over the last few months Like the mega spaces that we used to see all over the place so prevalently have kind of died down and quieted down, and a lot of other projects have kind of started just keeping to their own communities. So it's going to be hard trying to lead the new generation of project founders into the kind of era that we are, that we're in, where we're all kind of sticking together, the good ones that are looking out for each other and promoting each other, because not only do we love what we're doing, we love what everyone else around us is doing as well.

Speaker 7:

That's a good point, mr Green, and you know, shout out to Megadeth for sure. And obviously I have a hundred other projects that I want to shout out. You know the hogs that are are hugely supportive of multiple, of multiple projects and communities. Yeah, we're, we're all about. You know, I I kind of I don't want to say I coined the phrase but founders supporting founders, community supporting communities, that's really what we're trying to build at NFA and you know the people that get it are with us.

Speaker 7:

You know, listen, the reality is this there were a lot of founders that were very intimidated by me and I get it. They didn't understand where I was coming from. I never worried about anybody supporting another project. Why would you want to have your community support other people? Because that's the only way that we build and grow right, the only way to build Web3 is for the projects and the founders we love to be successful.

Speaker 7:

And you know I never call out names, but I remember on my, when we were minting, I had a one of my community members sent me a screenshot of a founder who basically was on my stage as a, as my brother, you know, at my mint party, telling me you know he's my bro. He's my bro and I just I just grabbed a couple and and then going to his community saying yo don't support Sid. And so when I went back to him and I was like yo, what's up with that? And he was like I really felt that you were going to pull out a shit ton of liquidity out of my project and you know, I don't want that to happen. I'm like dude, in reality you have 10,000 PFPs, you have thousands of holders. What you think there's just going to be this mass exodus of people selling your NFT to go buy my NFT. I mean like that's crazy.

Speaker 7:

So so, number one, so what if somebody sells something to support somebody else? Number one and number two like who the fuck are you as a founder to to lay that shit on your community? Like I would never tell somebody in my community don't support somebody. Now I would tell them, hey, this person's doing bad business. And uh, you know, and and my opinion is, this person is doing bad things, but I would, I would never, uh not support another founder that's trying to do legitimate business. That's fucking crazy.

Speaker 7:

Um, and and that really kind of blew my mind, and so that's why I don't really worry about it. You know I don't. I don't play the FOMO game. I don't really worry about it. You know I don't. I don't play the FOMO game. I don't pay influencers to promote and market what I'm doing. Um, I, I go the real route. I'm trying to build something long-term. I'm trying to build value for the community. Right, I'm trying to build a, a, a, a brand and you know, I believe I'll get there one day at a time, and that's it. But guess what, if you come into my space and you like what MicroPets is doing, why would I not want you to support MicroPets, right? Like, definitely support MicroPets so that there's more good people around long term Go support.

Speaker 7:

Stardust. Go support, you know, megadeth. Go support all these people Because if everybody is thriving, then we're building something big. And just like with you, brother, it's just like supporting what you're doing and watching what you're doing. You know I love your projects since day one, right, and you've been, you've been a brother to me in the space Every time I've minted, who was the person that was there to have me? You did a space with me every time, right before I went live with my mint party. I sat with you when I did NFA. I sat with you when I did the homies and you were kind enough to say yo, sid, come in an hour before your mint party and let's do a pre-mint party, um, and you never worried about what is that going to do to me and my brand. Uh, you were there to support Um. So you know, shout out to you, for you know, leading by example, right, um, and that's that. That shows integrity of a founder.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, lane, you said that you were a bad, bad, bad, bad friend in the beginning of the space. You are not a bad friend, man, correct? You are a great friend that we all may get sidetracked and busy with our own things, but we're always cheering each other on from the sidelines constantly, so we're always wanting you to succeed. As vice versa, you're always wanting us to succeed, even if we don't get to talk to each other and see each other all the time.

Speaker 4:

Well and hey, we got to keep up these catch-ups and little reunions and, Mr Green, thank you so much for inviting me onto your spaces. I've really got to make that priority. And as soon as I say like, oh, after this coaching season, I'm done, I just got invited to coach club soccer I was just telling my community like my soccer coaching days might be done, they're going to move on to club, and they just invited me to coach club. So it's like I, I, I really need to like get better at scheduling, because there's there really are great spaces with, uh, you guys that I want to like be a part of and and continue to, uh, you know, maintain uh that that contact with you guys, and I just have to say big, big, uh thank you.

Speaker 4:

And and like fuck yeah to working with mr green. I've known mr green for a long time, like separately from sid, and then when you guys started working together, I was just like fuck, yes, mr green's so cool, such an honest, diligent type person that is like kind-hearted, and I uh have just been rooting for you and it was just a really interesting match that I was like where did where did even happen? I'd love to know, if you guys don't mind telling me, like, how did it happen, with you guys working with each other and Mr Green, you working on the spaces and kind of repping crypto homies? If you guys don't mind me asking, I'm so glad it happened.

Speaker 7:

Yeah, brother, you know I had met Mr Green back in the day, you know obviously was in a lot of spaces and you know we started chopping up on the back channels and there was an opportunity that kind of came up and I was like yo, why don't, why don't we figure out how to do some stuff together? And, um, you know it's it's been a blessing for us obviously to have them, have them on board with us. Uh, we definitely want to, we want to grow with each other. We've we sometimes have, uh, uh, you know we sometimes have that person that comes in into your, into your space and into your life and you know, green is just one of those guys. That's just on his game.

Speaker 4:

Um, we talked, you know, on personal stuff, not just web three stuff, and uh, you know he's just a real deal I agree, I agree and I'm really glad it happened, and I just uh want to thank you guys for you know, saying thanks for my support, and that's just a another chance for me to re-solidify my support that I'll always be there for you guys. There's really an interestingly easy distinction between and I'm not saying you have to be doxed in this space, but just a doxed individual like you two how quickly and easily it is to just gain trust. And even if you weren't doxxed, you guys just carry yourselves differently in this space and have different intentions and goals, and I like your guys' long-term mentality over things. And, yeah, you guys always have my support. I want to thank you for thanking me and recognizing that. That's really important to me, that I do show support, and it's never because I want to be recognized, but that sure does feel good.

Speaker 4:

So I have one more question before I kind of give you the mic to you know, we have a few more people here in the space. I'd love for you to touch on your projects, any dates, any links that you want to pay close attention to. But my last question and this can be for both of you guys if you don't mind we do a book club. Right now we're reading a book about logical thinking. It's awesome. We've read books that are fiction, just crazy sci-fi. We've done documentary-type stuff. We've done self-help. Do you guys have, do you read or listen to audio books, or do you have any recommendations for our book club? I would love to get an answer from both of you.

Speaker 8:

Well, you just missed a great space for that. Ooh, what's that? What's that? Oh, what's that, what's that? So every tuesday night we do a? Um, a book that is for the actual homies brand. Um, our boy chip dog from our community reads it every week. We we do like one to two chapters a week, but it entails, like the, the whole background of the homies brand and David Gonzalez, the creator, and how he got his start and the things that he got into and what led the brand to be what it is today and how it's ever-growing still, you know. And so we get to listen to him read that every single week, and I think this is probably like our third time going through the book, but people really enjoy reading it and, well, just listening to it being read. And, yeah, I know it is available to buy, but I'm not quite sure how you can obtain it. Um, but yeah, that's something that sid could tell you a little bit more about too I'll tell you awesome good answer.

Speaker 4:

Good answer, that was fun awesome I didn't know that lane.

Speaker 7:

You know what's so cool about? First of all, we have we have chip dog reading it, uh, and he loves the homies brand forever, uh we didn't plan this.

Speaker 4:

This sounds like a total promotion, like we're ending the space. It's like, oh, let's bring up the book and you can. I didn't even plan this. I, you guys, didn't know about this question and you're, it's perfect, not.

Speaker 7:

No, no, no, Not at all. I love it. So Chip Dog reads it. He's a huge Homies fan, so you really feel the love that he has for the brand.

Speaker 7:

And the reason why we keep reading the book over and over is when I look at Web3 and I look at projects and people write the lore behind these projects or even think about most brands you know, not a lot of them have a 40-year history. I always say the homies and what David Gonzalez has created is kind of like the Marvel universe of street hip-hop, lowrider, chicano tattoo, graffiti culture, right. So there's not many brands like that that exist that have this, this long history that is is is definable and you can, you can see the arch of when it was designed, how it went down. So David wrote this book, uh, and we read it to. You know, kind of educate people about this brand that we're building. That it's, it's. It's a you know brand with millions of collectors and the brand right now is on fire lane. It's, it's literally the biggest it's ever been. The amount of product that they're selling, the amount of stores they're in, is bigger than ever.

Speaker 7:

But I do want to mention a couple books or a couple authors I love. I'm really into kind of oddball reading. So do you know the author, donald Goins?

Speaker 4:

Oh, that sounds familiar, but I can't say that. I can name anything off the top of my head. Please go on.

Speaker 7:

So he's an urban fiction writer and he's he's kind of, I would say he's influenced by, you know, iceberg slim, but these are, you know is the book I love is called whore son, but the, the it really is about like uh, chicago, uh, and the in the 70s uh, and maybe actually even earlier, um, but really dope. There's a lot of his books have turned into movies, some of the cool street culture movies. So I love Donald Goins and then something that would be really dope but kind of difficult for people to read would be Be here Now. I don't know if you know that book, but it's by Baba Ram Dass and it's a. It was kind of like the hippies handbook back in the day, super psychedelic and really cool.

Speaker 7:

The. The way the book is written is with drawings and with really unique lettering lettering, uh, so the lettering might be on two pages but in in a certain shape. It's really cool. You should check it out If you haven't taken a look at be here now. Uh, that's super dope, um, but yeah, I like, I like kind of off the ball, you know, off the wall kind of stuff. I love graffiti, uh and street culture. So, uh, I definitely kind of playing that arena a lot more when it comes to what I'm into these days, although, I have a pretty big book collection and I do love to read.

Speaker 4:

Oh, I love that, bro. Well, just a reminder our book club, it's one of our perks. You can get reimbursements for books, bro. So we've got a good collection growing. So I've got to remind everyone. And you, my friend, yeah, if you love books. Those were some great, great recommendations. And fun fact one of my favorite songs in the entire universe by Mason Jennings, titled Be here Now, I'm sure would go hand in hand with that book. I've got to check it out. Thank you for recommending that. I'm sure his song is in hand with that book. I've got to check it out. Thank you for recommending that. I'm sure his song is definitely inspired by that book. It's got to be. It's just all about being in the present and enjoying the now, and that's where happiness lies, and there's no other place to be 100%.

Speaker 4:

Hell yeah, bro. Well, I just have to thank you for making this happen. Thank you so much. Please, let's make it easier next time. I vow, I promise, Dude, it's all guys, lane, dude, for real, for real.

Speaker 7:

I've been hitting up Lane for a while. I'm like dude, let's just jump on a space, let's do it. But, brother, trust me, I get it. We're all, we're all busy, you do. You know, every time your space comes, your space is one of the few spaces that's in my calendar, so I see the book club space every time, um, and so you know it's, it's, it's one of those things where I want to. You had it last night. What 8 pm my time yeah, no I.

Speaker 4:

I was not trying to to guilt trip anyone.

Speaker 7:

I know what you're doing, I know you're busy with the fam, I know you're coaching. So the fact that you took out some time to hang with me tonight and Mr Green and the rest of the crew here, and I think it's good for the communities to see you know people that are building from. You know from back in the dark ages or the light ages or whatever you want to call them.

Speaker 8:

God has been over two years for all three of us.

Speaker 7:

I'm in close to three.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's a. That's a weird feeling I and in crypto years that's. That's at least a baker's dozen right there 100%.

Speaker 7:

I'm not going to really show anything. Brother, if everybody can do me a favor, make sure you're following Pandamania. Give the homies account a follow. Give Nifty a follow. Mr Green, micropets, stardogs, the rest of the people in here Give them all a follow. Give a digital world a follow. That's down there and, if you can go, check out the website, take a look at what we're building. We do have a couple of big things going on. Tomorrow night we have our NFA Xenu space, which we've been doing for over two years. 4pm PST. I'll be giving out a Crypto Homies mint in the space tomorrow night, so definitely pop in there. And then Sunday, as I mentioned, we're going to be announcing our next big bounty and previewing our Big Head toys. We didn't even talk about the toys, but we do have our first Crypto Homie exclusive toys coming out. We have a promo going right now to get Crypto Homies. Just come hang with us. Like I said, I didn't really want to shill here, I just wanted to hang, and so I appreciate it, brother. What up, mr Greens?

Speaker 8:

I do, however, want to shamelessly shill one thing real quick, guys. I do, however, want to shamelessly show one thing real quick, guys. You know, if you mint from the Crypto Homies Project, you wind up walking away with four, as what Sid has termed them, dcts, digital collectible toys or NFTs, whatever you would want to call them. So, when you hit that mint button, you get four. You get one from our Genesis collection, and then you get three from the general collection, which is a separate contract, but they all arrive all at once, right? So, right now, um, I don't know how many is left, probably not that many.

Speaker 7:

There's 20, there's 23 left of the promo 23.

Speaker 8:

that's it, guys. So if you want to take part in the promo, you can get a hold of me or Nifty on his account there in the DMs. Let us know. For $200, you're going to get an NFT with a birth date on it. It's one of 69 pieces that our good friend Joey down there has created for us.

Speaker 8:

Now it's kind of been a little joke about Sid's real birth year and how old he really is. He's claiming that he's 68, but we'll all find out when we mint this NFT collection out, because the person who owns the winning date for the birth date is going to win a chance to go see Sid and spend the weekend with him, all expenses paid in California or $5,000 on the spot. Now, when you buy that one NFT for $200, it does come with two mints. So that is eight DCTs total worth about $1,000 if you were to mint them separately right now, all for $200. So you get that chance of $5,000 or a chance to go hang out with Sid and eight crypto homies in your wallet for 200 bucks. That is a cheap, smoking ass deal that you guys want to take part. So definitely hit me or Sid up in his DMs and we will get you set up with it.

Speaker 7:

Yeah, you rock, brother. Yeah, you can go in the Discord also. Mr Green kind of broke it down pretty well and you know really what we're trying to do. The reason we did this promo was really to push the Mint forward and to give something back to the community. So one out of 69 people are going to win $5,000 or a combination of cash and a trip out to LA, and it'll help us just continue to push them in forward.

Speaker 7:

And this was a way to get back to community and also, once and for all, uh, put the rest, uh, my birth year, which is 1955. Uh, and hopefully everybody will start to treat me, uh, you know, as the age I am and not, uh, think I'm younger, so but yeah, it's pretty dope. The artwork Joey came up with the sick and uh, yeah, so you can also go into discord, open a ticket or send a DM and I think, like I said, there's 20, I believe there's 23 left, 23 or 26. I think it's 23 of those left. Uh and uh, afterward're done with this promo, they're going to be going back up to the original mint price and they'll be sitting there until we get through the mint. So that's where we stand, brother.

Speaker 4:

Oh, I love it. Thank you for the update. My friends, I am going to continue to keep updated and not be left behind. And please I'm asking as a favor if there is anything that I need to know about. It's never bothering me to hit me up and just say, hey, this is what we got. Here are the links. I love staying updated from you guys. Thank you for doing that in the future. That's a future, thank you.

Speaker 7:

I appreciate it, brother, thank you and shout out to everybody who came and supported today, Some new people, some old people. I definitely followed back Everybody that followed me, so thank you for that. If, for some reason, you just popped in and I miss you, I'm trying to make sure I got everybody, but appreciate it. Thanks to all the founders that showed up here, all the people in our community, and much love, brother, to you, lane, and to your family. Much love to you, mr Greens, and your family, and appreciate y'all.

Speaker 4:

Great space you guys. I'm so glad this happened and I appreciate everyone that came through. We do have a winner for a giveaway I had up there. I think it was like $20. Not a bad little take home for a nice little space. Gmetacharls, I love your pit and your profile picture. It looks so similar to my pit. Her name is Kua and oh, she's just. I want to give your little pit in your picture a big hug. She looks so cute. If it's a, if it's a sheet, I think.

Speaker 7:

Thanks for giving a gift away, brother. That's very sweet of you also, so I appreciate you doing that.

Speaker 4:

Oh, my pleasure. My friend and I have to do something cheesy here. I was thinking, okay, reunion, we got together. We can't make it. We can't make it. You know, we can't wait till so long next time. So I'm going to end the space just playing a little music. If you want to hop out or stick around till the music ends and the space ends, I'm going to play a little song on the way out. So thanks, Sid, Thank you to everyone and have a wonderful night. You guys have a good rest of your week. Let's kick ass. Good night.

Speaker 8:

Thank you, bro, have a good night Good night.

Speaker 5:

Strangers, from strangers into brothers, from brothers into strangers. Once again, we saw the whole world but I couldn't see the meaning. I couldn't even recognize my friends Older, but nothing's any different Right now feels the same. I wonder why. I wish they told us it shouldn't take a sickness A airplane's falling out the sky.

Speaker 1:

Too often times you hear you miss me. Too often times you hear you say goodbye. I don't want to act like there's tomorrow. I don't wanna wait to do this one more time. One more time, one more, one more time, one more time.

Speaker 5:

I miss you One more time.

Speaker 1:

One more time. I miss you Took time, but I admit it it still hurts, even after all these years. And I know the next time ain't always gonna happen.

Speaker 5:

I gotta say I love you while we're here.

Speaker 1:

You have to die to hear you miss me. You have to die to hear you say goodbye. I don't wanna act like that tomorrow. I don't wanna wait till to do this one more time. One more time, one more.

Speaker 5:

One more time, one more time, one more time, one more, one more time, one more time, one more. One more time, one more time, one more time. I miss you.

Speaker 4:

Thanks Sid, Thanks everyone. Hey, call someone you miss, Tell them you love them. Love you guys. Have a good week.
