I'm excited I'm really excited I have been a big fan of Nessie for a while now and I get the next little bit just to chat and pick his brain and find out more about him and I could not be more thrilled oh my goodness you guys thank you so much for coming today I think we're gonna have ourselves just a really enlightening uh next few minutes and I want you guys to invite some music lovers any friends in the nft space obviously we might chit chat a little bit about that but this is all all about music with Nessie today and I don't know Nessie if you've heard any of these Panda spaces but I'd like to kind of ask some questions about who you are your story a little bit where you come from and really these Panda spaces are all about diving into the the brains of really brilliant people and so we are just thrilled and honored to have you here with us today I see some great friends in the audience already and I'm so happy that you're here with us today I don't mean to point anyone specifically out but I'm going to Annette I was just on the phone with jifu I've been doing a bunch of travel booking this morning and so I'll be hopping in your uh in your ticket here pretty soon to talk about your plane ticket I'm also oh I'm just this is a fun exciting day I'm booking a cruise for my family right now saving hundreds of books it's it's just the best feeling to save money while you're booking for travel so every year around Christmas we do a fun vacation and this year I think we're switching it up a little bit and taking our kids on their first cruise so we're pretty excited but enough about that I just wanted to uh say how excited I am to see a few people specifically the always Chris cray just hopped in and what a great friend and supporter of another musician an artist and I love how these artists just support each other and so enough talk from me Nessie how are you my friend thank you so much for joining us today yo what up dog man how you doing it's just wonderful man I'm I'm just excited to uh I I don't know if you can tell I'm I'm like almost nervous to to get into it and start chatting with you because I have so many questions and I don't know if I'm going to be able to get through them all and uh and cover everything with the time that we have allotted and I don't want to take all your time and so I'm gonna I'm gonna take the time that we that we do have that we're given from you and make the most of it and so really uh I want to just start things off and get right into it my my good friend and I want to know a little bit about you and I want to take it back even if you do not mind my good friend I would love to know about the young Nessie what you know take it all the way back for us so we can kind of get a grasp on today Nessie and how you got here you know your childhood what you were into uh that and I think that my might be a great start Michelle's the show yeah man uh well [ __ ] I was born and raised in Detroit you know born in 93 I'm a 90s baby to the core uh and yeah I mean honestly I just growing up uh especially growing up in Detroit I always felt like I was being overlooked in a sense I always felt like I didn't really have a voice you know like my parents were super religious uh what they said went you know what I'm saying my sister uh she was born with I forgot the name how to pronounce it but it's Aspergers it's a form of uh on the autism spectrum so it was it was a lot to deal with in my house you know what I'm saying my dad worked two jobs so he wasn't really there a lot my mom really had to play both roles to be honest but you know just like I said I just felt like I wasn't really being hurt you know what I'm saying I didn't really felt like I couldn't do what I want you know I'm saying a lot of kids went to birthday parties and had sleepovers and all that stuff and I didn't really have all that growing up you know so uh pretty much that's how I fell in love with music you know like on top of well first off I'm from Detroit you know that's the Motor City that's Motown so you can't be from Motown and not know any of the music or hear any of them I was gonna say Detroit's a music just Hub it that a lot of names come out of Detroit Nessie himself yeah oh facts man it's definitely the soul capital in my opinion you know I know we got Nashville and we got all these other places but man Detroit is just that one place you can go and it's just that soul man you can't deny it but uh yeah from growing up in Motown and as well as like I said my parents are super in the church so I was at church probably four or five times a week you know because they would have like a choir rehearsal my dad would work security you know we would have basketball practice so I was literally at the church surrounded by music all the time you know I'd be in the uh I'll be in the stands like coloring in books you know and I'll be hearing the music just flow through me and a sense like subconsciously so I feel like that definitely played a huge part in it and yeah so I started writing when I was like eight low-key uh I think the first song I wrote to it was a remix of something I [ __ ] I can't think of what it was but the first CD I ever bought was eight mile the Eight Mile soundtrack from Eminem and uh that along with get rich or die trying those are the two that I like physically bought you know I had uh somebody gave me a copy of life after death but you know I didn't that wasn't you know I didn't buy it but so yeah just being in music since I was eight uh I finally had the chance to record when I was 14 15. like I said I grew up in church so literally uh my dad knew a producer they had a studio so he worked in the church as well so it was me and like three of my friends and we went to the studio and you know what I'm saying we recorded and when I first started off I was in a sense quote unquote a Christian rapper you know what I'm saying not necessarily because I wanted to do it but more along the lines of my dad didn't really accept anything that wasn't gospel so I was like okay well I want to be able to listen to music and make music in the house you know what I'm saying so let me do that so I started doing that for a little bit for like maybe two years and you know I just kind of felt limited you know what I'm saying I love God I'm definitely very spiritual you know what I'm saying but in terms of that market in that field it's very limited you know and especially with all the stuff I've experienced growing up I've seen people shot I've seen people killed I've seen you know I've seen a lot but you know I just felt like I wanted to step outside of that you know and just make regular music but at the same time still keep that aspect you know and let people know they're like yo I have a very spiritual side you know so uh that was like 16 17. I had my first performance in the club I'll never forget it I had school the next day I was 17 in a 21 and up bar and literally uh the dude I was running the show was a brother of one of the dudes in my group so we literally I had to sneak out the window to get out the house and like uh man it was like 12 30 at night because we were the last set so snug out the house my homies picked me up we drive down there and honestly I just like that was the best feeling you know I'm saying to be in a club where it's 21 and up you know I'm saying grown people and I'm literally rapping and they was [ __ ] with it heavy so I was like yo this is what I want to do you know what I'm saying so to the point where like literally like I've sacrificed everything for this you know what I'm saying like I used to live with my parents and then 16 what was it 16 16 and a half uh I scheduled a studio session because my dad is super Keen about like he's all about playing stuff out and all that having a plan so I told him two weeks in advance yo I'm going to the studio this day you know I'm saying I really want to record and then a day off he's like yo I need you to stay home to watch your sister you know we're going to the movies me and your moms and I just need you to stay and watch her and I'm like I mean she's 14 number one number two I just like I told you you know I'm saying I did everything you wanted me to do so why can't I go to the studio he's like yo I just need you to stay here and I was like pops I love you but I'm going to this session and he was like well if you go then you better pack up all your stuff because you're not coming back so dead ass I packed up all my stuff I went to that studio session and then I uh stayed at a couple friends houses for the meantime and then my nana and papa called me and they was like yo you need to just come stay with us you know what I'm saying like this is ridiculous we believe in you and your music we know what you're trying to do just just come stay with us so I ended up moving in with them and they were out in The Burbs and basically you know like I'm glad I did because it exposed me to so many cultures and so many different uh ethnicities and so many different you know people so I don't regret it at all but at the same time it just showed me like yo I really am passionate about my music if I'm gonna leave my family in my home just to be able to go to a session that's how I knew like yo this is what I meant to do for real so I mean you know fast forward uh uh like around 2011 12 I went to college for the first time and really branched out you know that was my first time into the world for real for real or no parents you know what I'm saying no limitations and it was crazy I'm not gonna lie you know I stayed there for a year I was in the drum line and uh hold on real I think I hear Rochelle crying
you're good what uh what was that who who's crying yeah one of my twins is crying sorry sorry oh oh gotcha gotcha okay I understand that I love Dad's life all day yeah but everybody doesn't know I got 11 month old twins they're about to be 12 months November 10th and yeah so uh she was crying a little bit I had to pick her up hey mama she good but uh yeah so basically 11 2011 2012 I was um I was at College it was a learning experience you know what I'm saying I got to do Drumline I got to meet people and all that but like I knew that wasn't for me you know what I'm saying I just knew like college was not for me because I already a lot of the stuff they were teaching Us in terms of music I already knew so I don't know everything once again but it was just like you know I just felt it in my heart like nah this ain't for me so I went back home and I actually started working at an after-school program you know what I'm saying kids are the future I love supporting the Next Generation you know what I'm saying building them up because I had a lot of people build me up they say it takes a village you know what I'm saying and it definitely did to raise me but uh yeah so 2012 I came back home and I started working at the after school and that was really dope because you know what I'm saying it really helped in terms of like God me and who I am because I'm a really positive person you know what I'm saying I'm not with all the hoopla like I've lived a street life before but I don't really like to speak on it because you know that's that's a past life but just being with the kids you know I'm saying and like motivated them helping them I would even take them to the studio sometimes you know it would be it was dope so I did that for a good six seven years uh 2015 I started a show in Bowling Green Ohio that was at uh it was on their campus you know what I'm saying it was basically an open mic where every Thursday after work I would drive down to Ohio and I would basically host a show from 8pm to 2 A.M you know what I'm saying and I drive back and go to work the next day so it's been a long path you know I'm saying I've had a lot of label offers I had a lot of people say they wanted to sign me like uh what's his name oh man Chris Frank Chris Fain from slip not I met him one time and he said he wanted to sign me and all this stuff and that fell through uh I was supposed to get signed by ethica and that fell through you know what I'm saying so it's been a long road but at the same time it's made me who I am you know what I'm saying and I'm proud to be here so far you know I could literally sit here and talk all day about my story I tried to sum it up a little bit but yeah long story short from Detroit started off in a group ended up doing my own solo thing 2015 and uh yeah I took it started taking it really really serious in 2016 like I was doing every single Open Mic I could in Detroit and Chicago and Ohio I was just everywhere you know and then uh finally I feel like 2017 was like my year of like finally breaking out because I had this song in the city uh back in Detroit and it was called running and everybody loved it because it was around the time that uh six nine it's like 2016-17 the year the six nine really popped out and it really was on that vibe you know what I'm saying so everywhere I went people knew me for that and it was dope and uh yeah it was just a big year for me I opened up for six nine uh Chief Keef Dojo cat I was on a high school tour with 42 Doug and Sada baby and pz and Babyface Ray all before they blew up you know what I'm saying so it's been a really dope ride you know but at the same time I'm grateful that it led me here you know uh dude I'm skipping all around I'm sorry it's just a lot to talk about like after the 2017 [ __ ] uh basically I just went through some [ __ ] from 2017 to 20. I was balancing females balancing my identity balancing getting back in the streets honestly because I was just broke and 2020 came around my friend flew out to Cali for a meeting he was like yo just come with me bro you need to switch up your scenery and just come with me so I went out to Cali and you know I just wanted to go and network and talk and the day before I left he actually hit me up in front of a friend was like yo I got a room for rent and she's trying to stay out in Cali so I literally looked at my situation like I didn't really have anything to go back to in Detroit I packed up my mic I had all my [ __ ] with me you know I'm saying clothes are replaceable so I was like [ __ ] it I'm staying Cali so I moved into Simi Valley this apartment it was a house full of musicians and it was a good vibe for a minute you know but uh you know everything happens for a reason and it just didn't work out the living situation so I actually ended up meeting the twin's mom and I moved in with her and we were kicking it uh found out she was pregnant last March in 2021 so that's when I really was like all right I got to get on my grind you know so I started talking to labels again and pushing and doing all this what's up mama you're right all right but uh yeah basically it got to the point where we were six months pregnant her parents and family moved down to Houston because they got a promotion and uh we were waiting on the label we were homeless you know what I'm saying I literally would we would be living out of hotels where I would have to work uh just a random pickup job you know what I'm saying just to come back to the hotel be there for the night sometimes we would have to pack up the hotel and not have to work and we'd come back to that same hotel and go to that same room and unpack in that same room you know what I'm saying but it's just because I didn't have the money to pay for that next night I would have to go out and hustle to get it so you know it's been a it's been a long road like I said but uh thankfully I've been able to come here you know uh we had the twins successfully and I made it to web three you know what I'm saying I finally found an audience that is for me a genuine audience actually gives a damn about my story and who I am and the art I'm trying to do you know what I'm saying so it's been a long road like I said but I'm grateful to be here man we're all grateful that you're here too and I think uh the whole web 3 Space is really grateful that you've decided to spend some time and and uh spend your craft and your art here with us as well so I I have some pretty specific questions I mean I relate to your story in different ways I went to college I'm the I'm the youngest of six and man I'm the only one of six without not only a degree but a master's degree I'm I'm the black sheep in the family I I have what 12 credits uh and I could graduate but I just bailed man I was just like this is I can't handle it I ran away from college so fast and started businesses and I just was so close to being done but I was graduating with a Fluff degree and I just didn't believe in it and I was just like this is [ __ ] I don't even I want to do what I want to do and it hurt my parents feelings a little bit and that was what I was always afraid of but they got over it and now I'm you know running successful businesses and hopping into passions and just loving uh the route that I took and so man I I really related to just fine you know finding yourself in a spot where you you're just kind of agitated a little bit and you want to you want to get out of that uh non-creative position or whatever it is so I had a question also you mentioned religion how to had a part to do with your upbringing and I completely relate to that as well and I'm curious if that has any part to do with your music still or is is that uh something that you might have like me a little bit a chip on your shoulder maybe I don't know I I don't know if I even want to crack over open that that can of worms but I am curious do you dabble in uh Christian hip-hop at all anymore you did mention that you you do consider yourself spiritual so I I guess maybe that's maybe too personal of a question nah bro you're good like man nothing is too personal of a question you know I'm saying I'm transparent I'm open I'm honest now you know I ain't got nothing to hide but uh yeah so in terms of uh Chris of course I definitely still listen to it like I grew up off of you know like the truth flame uh Fred Hammond Marvin Sapp you know I'm a huge I'm a huge person for sure but at the same time I don't necessarily focus on it in my raps though I do incorporate it for show like I'm pretty sure every single song that I drop you're gonna hear at least one reference to God you know what I'm saying because that's just like I've like yo I've survived so much [ __ ] you know what I'm saying whether it's God the Universe I don't know but I know that there's something or somebody up there that was watching my ass and that got a plan for me you know what I'm saying so I'm just trying to make sure that I'm doing what I need to do you know just take it day by day just being the best person that I can but uh no I definitely still listen I listen to all types of music you know what I'm saying because that's what motivates me and that's what kind of gives me that sense of like oh let's try something different you know because nobody wants to do the same [ __ ] forever you know is there is there a genre outside of hip-hop that you that you really love oh jazz hands down bro jazz jazz and more Jazz like I'm that dude that will be rolling up a blunt late at night listening to some like uh like some lounge jazz some jazz lounge type of stuff you know there's a place in Detroit that's my favorite it's called Baker's Lounge Baker's Keyboard Lounge whoever comes to nft Detroit I'm definitely trying to set up a function out there but uh yeah anybody that comes to Detroit I always take them to Baker's Lounge first because the Vibes are just impeccable man like it's a live band a live band performing in front of you they got a bar of course but they serve soul food bro like I love soul food you know what I'm saying it's part of my Heritage part of who I am so when I can just go to a restaurant get some good soul food get some good drinks you know good conversation with a live band in the background like yo what I don't know what beats that no honestly maybe add a blunt into that but uh I don't know what beats that so yeah man I definitely definitely love jazz um I like Lo-Fi too I like Lo-Fi I've been uh dabbling in bedroom pops uh trying to get into alternative a little bit more because I was a Coldplay kid growing up for show but um like I said I'm open to everything you know I'm saying I sample a lot of genres in my music because I make beats as well so I just I see music as a highway man I just swear throughout the lanes I ain't got one lane you know like you know let's be honest like if you wanted to you could just swirl throughout the lane on the freeway and there's nobody gonna stop you unless there's a car there you know and that's how I see this music like nobody can really stop me from doing what I feel you know what I'm saying I I take notes of who's in front of me you know so I don't crash and I'm making sure like I'm at least putting on a blinker to let people know like yo I'm about to switch over here real quick you know but at the same time man I just I'm in this Lambo bro and it's just all gas no brakes it's just it just keeps going and going and going you know what I'm saying until I get to that Final Destination so uh apart from music I I always find out from creative people and talented people uh their other Hobbies or passions or uh maybe Past Times you know it's not just music there's got to be other things in people's lives and I you know I was wondering as you were you were talking as an eight-year-old writing music and starting into it man I I can just imagine you are also very creative with other things maybe drawing or Legos or whatever it is I just imagine you being that brilliant little kid that can keep himself busy and have his own projects what what other things outside of music did you uh participate in maybe Sports even and what about now oh yeah you nailed it bro you literally nailed it I was that kid playing with Legos I was that kid drawing painting anything creative that I could get my voice out you know what I'm saying and let my thoughts be seen or heard that's what I was doing hands down um let's see I tried track uh because my dad did track wasn't really good at it um crazy enough I wanted to hoop and I wanted to like play football on like teams and stuff but uh I just let other people get to me what they were saying you know what I'm saying like I grew up a nerd y'all like whole facts I was I got the Urkel comments all the time I get called alien I get called uh what was that one dinosaur brontosaurus or whatever you know what I'm saying so I just kind of affected my confidence and I was just like all right I'm not gonna do it I don't want to try out and get made fun of you know what I'm saying but um I should have did it hands down I should have uh I do play sports now though I definitely play basketball and football and I disc golf man a lot of people don't know about disc golf disc golf is that [ __ ] you know what I'm saying like it's nothing like walking a nice 18 you know what I'm saying got a blunt in your hand a drink and you're just throwing this you know what I'm saying you don't have to worry about oh [ __ ] I use the change the five iron or the three wood on The Fairway like no bro it's just a Vibe you know what I'm saying we just kicking it it's just a good vibe but uh yeah besides that uh I skate a little bit not heavy but uh yeah Skate a little bit um that's pretty much it for real like I'm a simple Dude music really is my life you know I'm saying like this it's all I do but yeah man if I'm not doing I'm probably disc golfing or hooping or you know kicking it with the kids I love that man that that's so fun to think about uh when you're you're trying to describe yourself uh and it's so fun to think about how serious we take things in different chapters in our lives maybe in high school certain things are so important and then man you you get out and you find that the interesting people are the ones that that get popular that get famous that that are interesting you know and I don't know it's just so fun to kind of look back at my own uh personal struggles through high school I was Tiny I was very athletic and I you know the youngest of six man I could wrestle with the biggest of the guys but I was a late bloomer I'm talking five foot all the way through uh senior year and so later in uh high school you know junior senior year it started to become just embarrassing because I I would have a tremendous just try out but you know the coaches were making fun of me and once the the events are you know chiming in on bowling yeah it's just like what the hell's going on here I just scored six goals on the seniors and you guys are making fun of me so I I don't know I kind of just wanted to get out of that scene I spent my Junior and Senior year just snowboarding and skating and being with my buddies uh before I went off to college and man there you know part of me regrets that because I could have gone on I finally grew I could have played soccer uh in college you know and I could have done well but I am really really happy I spent a couple years just kicking it with some of my best buddies that we have some of the best memories with and it I wasn't gonna Place professional soccer you know and so it's fun to kind of look back and think man what was the opportunity cost of taking this route over the other route or going this way versus that way do you have any of those moments that oh my god dude you have like maybe like glad that happened or maybe I'm not glad it happened do you have any specifics dude every freaking day I have this thought in my mind about so many situations you know what I'm saying like uh real quick before I touch on that I forgot soccer too I definitely did play soccer I was on a little indoor league for a minute you know I'd be kicking it oh hell yeah yeah bro I was a I was a left wing for a minute but uh yeah it was [ __ ] man there's a lot there's a lot of decisions for show like this one time uh in college I had to choose between going to Drumline practice or going to audition to open up for a Big Sean concert you know and I was just like well I know that if I miss a practice that's gonna hurt my grade a lot like they were super strict like if you miss one or two practices you fail so it was just like all right well I guess I'll go to practice but then like I went to that show and like it was such a fire show and all the people I was like damn bro I should I should be on that stage you know what I'm saying like I hate that's really why I don't go to a lot of concerts that ass because I'm just like bro I want to be on that stage like I I want to be there you know what I'm saying like just to have these 10 15 20 30 60 minutes where all these people are literally just singing My lyrics and dancing with me and just having a good time and forgetting about all their problems you know I'm saying in the real life and just for this one moment you know I'm saying we can all just come together and celebrate and just have fun together you know so that's definitely one of them um another one
honestly uh with California you know like I said we were waiting on the deal to come through her family moved down in July down here to Houston but I was stubborn you know I was always like man let's wait for this deal you know we're just gonna come through I have faith it's all good and yeah literally it's something I have to live with every single day because her mom uh twins mom passed literally due to covet and that was so that was last year September 29th and they left in July so you know what I'm saying a good two to three months that she could have spent with her mom and Mom could have spent with her you know what I'm saying and I feel like I kind of took that away from her so I lived with that every day for sure um this is a lot man you know it's a lot of those decisions but at the same time I look at like I look at these kids bro I'm not gonna hold you up I look at my twins and I'm just like yo like I how can I be upset you know I'm saying God is a plan I look at web 3 and I'm like yo how can I be upset God has a plan like I'm here you know what I'm saying like I literally so many times I was about to end it all so many times I want to give up on music myself you know what I'm saying and just being in this space and actually having people from all over the world that have never even met before be able to hear me and listen and resonate with it and understand where I'm coming from you know what I'm saying all artists we just want to be hurt if not understood so it's like the fact that that can happen from the comfort of my home like man it's a beautiful thing you know what I'm saying and I feel like the reason why it seems like I quote unquote failed all those other times before was because my plan you know I'm saying God had a different plan for me his plan was to bring me here in web 3 and to make some noise and to be a [ __ ] Legend you know what I'm saying just like Chris Craig just like Jay Lee just like a lot of these other great uh artists out here you know what I'm saying I consider us the Misfits you know what I'm saying we don't fit the standard of what the uh Labels want you know what I'm saying we don't say certain things we don't look a certain way you know we're The Misfits The Underdogs but at the same time that's okay you know what I'm saying like that's okay because when you come into a space like this and we're building each other up we're not gonna be the dogs anymore like I'm literally like it just blows my mind how I used to do songs for like fifty dollars twenty dollars you know what I'm saying just because I was just that hungry you know what I'm saying and now I'm in a whole different position and like I'm going to these nft conferences and Performing and I'm meeting all these people I literally grew up seeing in movies like bro like it's it's a huge blessing like for me to do the crypto homies theme song like that is I used to walk to the store to get the little homies out the gumball machine like you know what I'm saying like the you know the universe is funny man and just the way it works and everything like even recently the last two months I've been hearing a lot of talk about yo you should be with this so yo I really want you to meet this dude or yo I really want you to be on this label and before you know I was like yeah that would be cool you know I never really considered it but yeah it'd be dope and literally every single day it's like the universe is bringing that closer and closer to me because everybody around me is believing that so then it's like it's starting to come into fruition like that's one thing about manifestation this is why I don't tell a lot of people my plans is because when you tell somebody your plan or you tell somebody something that you're about to do how they think about it affects it you know what I'm saying so if I told if I tell uh somebody yo bro I'm about to open up for Snoop this is about to be crazy then they're gonna be like oh yeah and if they believe in it then it adds to the more likeliness of it happening if they don't believe in it or they're jealous you know what I'm saying then it takes away and it makes it less likely so I'm very careful about who I tell my news to and like who I you know I'm saying celebrate with because I need people around me that actually believe in me and understand that the value of manifestation is real you know so yeah man sorry I rambled a little bit but bro I love your rambling and I'm gonna I'm gonna touch on your rambling but before I forget I wanted to mention that disc golf is the [ __ ] Bro yes and one day when you're cruising through Boise Idaho hey you never know it might happen bro one day you're gonna be in Boise Idaho we're we've got some pretty fire disc call disc golf courses here so I'll take you on a treat roll up a couple of blunts and we'll enjoy the Disc Golf Scene here in Boise one day together I really want to go to Boise State and see that blue and orange field bro like I'm not gonna lie to you that's kind of one of my things on the bucket list hey I'm telling you I'll treat you to a Boise State game we'll get oh they have these mini donuts with the uh they've got different toppings they're just spectacular that's like one of my favorite things about going to the Boise State Games my dad used to take me he passed away uh man I can't believe it's about five years now and that was his thing rain snow man it did not matter he loved making the Trek to he would he would park like a mile away from the stadium because he hated just all the commotion so he'd Park in this little parking garage like this secret parking garage that he thought was such a good spot and we'd have to walk like a full mile to get there and he was like see this is the good move I'm like Dad this is crazy I don't know why you don't just park clothes but uh I have some really really good memories from the Boise State game so yeah man that would be awesome you can go and take a with the the nft space for my own reasons and I think I found some Rejuvenation uh you know I found fulfillment again and it is the community the the community has a huge part to deal with I think why I loved and fell in love with and became kind of obsessed with the nft space um I think it's because it's a group of more artistic people than the average person or the average investor or the average consumer I I don't know what it is but this space does seem like it is Con it's pretty conducive to uh collaboration and and loving people and I don't know I I feel like in this space I don't feel uh embarrassed to open up or talk about uh mental health or whatever it is I don't know there is something different about this space where I too have found uh kind of a a comfort a home uh where I can be an artist in my own ways you know and I'm I'm not an artist in any traditional sense maybe I think in building communities I I think I can kind of label myself an artist in that sense and that's a really far stretch but you know I I used to do video and I I consider myself an artist and I feel like I I have those same feelings again so I'm kind of just going off of the feelings of fulfillment that I have once again and passion and so I don't know will you kind of backtrack again and you already touched on it so well but maybe just uh dive into that one more time what what are you loving as a hip-hop artist about this nft space specifically and presenting your art to this this group of people Michelle man uh I just love the acceptance you know just like kind of what you were just touching on the fact that people are actually accepting me for me I don't have to put on a facade I don't have to show off a car that I have I don't have to show off a girl that I have you know I'm saying it's not based off of stuff that we have it's more based off of who we are as people you know what I'm saying so I love that aspect for show and also uh the fact that you can just connect with artists from all over the world you know what I'm saying I met some really dope artists in this space like Chris cray like bro me and Chris cray actually linked up I went down to Palm Beach and we actually got to meet each other you know what I'm saying I kicked it with Mr G yo let me tell you something if you ever go down to Florida and you kick it with Mr G he's gonna do it big or you're not gonna go to Florida this dude pulled up on me and this stretch limo like yo let's get it let's go let's go to work you know what I'm saying and it's beautiful the fact that literally people I've never met before never met before the first time I meet them he brought out all the hospitality you know what I'm saying we were kicking it all weekend it was such great Vibes we were freestyling you know what I'm saying it was just that's what this whole web 3 [ __ ] is about you know I'm saying connecting genuine people to other genuine people so we can help each other grow like Mr G has been there for me so many times in his last six seven months times I've needed formula I've needed loans you know what I'm saying Mr G has looked out for me and that's really what's been keeping me in this space you know what I'm saying once again the genuine the genuine people and the people that actually give a [ __ ] about you you know what I'm saying because that motivates me to give to the next person and that motivates me to keep going when I don't want to you know what I'm saying because I gotta look and see all these people that actually have my back and like you know bro you're not about to fail we're not about to let you feel so I can't let myself fail you know what I'm saying so yeah man it's a it's a beautiful thing for real being in web 3 especially as a artist this I don't really like to say hip-hop artists because like I said I do see music as a highway and I just do what I feel but being an artist in this space is so beautiful and then number three man you get ownership of all your stuff and you actually like can make it to where you can take care of your family you know what I'm saying like when I'm on streaming platforms I don't think I think my whole streaming platform career and I've had it's been out for four or five years so in the four or five years I've only made 560 dollars in four or five years and those plays are at least I don't know exact numbers but it's at least it's definitely over a hundred thousand plays but you know what I'm saying like it's just it's horrible like it's horrible and then the fact that I can come on here drop 50 editions of a song and people actually love it and they want to support and they don't just say it by streaming but they actually meant the song and buy the song and they make videos out of the song and they share it with their families and you know what I'm saying like it's so much more powerful you know it's not even the music aspect but it's more along the lines of knowing or it's not the money aspect but more along the lines of knowing your worth you know what I'm saying like for me I know my worth I know that I have a lot to offer to this world I know my music is one of one so therefore I'm gonna treat it as such you know what I'm saying and I can't say that oh yeah I'm one of the greatest artists in the world but I'm over here letting my music go for pennies on Pennies on Pennies on Pennies on pennies of the dollar like what that's backwards bro like that's that's like pulling up in a freaking uh it's like pulling up in a I don't know a 67 Camino or something and just being like yeah I got the best car in the world knowing that there are better cars it might be the best to you but there's still better cars in the world you know what I'm saying so that's why I'm just I'm just excited to make history man this is a new Avenue all of this is new you know what I'm saying like I'm not sitting in the back reading about it in the history books like I'm about to be in the history books I'm making history right now you know what I'm saying so it's it's an honor honestly and it's a blessing and every like I said everything happens for a reason so I'm glad that I didn't pop in web 2. you know what I'm saying because I already know like I'm about to pop beyond anything I could have ever imagined here well and I think your timing and your story your your paths everything has led to just good timing also with the industry uh the building that's happening right now man uh it's just it's just like a volcano uh heating up you know and and I think this is a really exciting time for a lot of us in this space that are providing value that do believe in ourselves that do believe in our our missions you know we we have uh a tremendous opportunity to kind of shine during a bear market
