[Music] friends I do not know what happened I got a new phone and something happened with the stink in first space link it was just sitting there it looked like a normal space for me but then I'd try to hop in on my computer and check out what's going what was going on with the space and it was saying it hadn't started yet so the first space link got rugged somehow I don't know what happened if it's my new phone or what but I apologize we've got a nice little intimate space today and hey I am so excited to have taggers here with us and even if we have you know just a small little nice space here today taggers I wanted to let you guys know um I'm gonna I'm gonna build a little catalog on my website and start to categorize these Panda spaces and uh essentially have kind of like a a podcast list of categorized spaces and essentially what we do here is chit chat for an hour and get to know the Brilliance of the Mind behind the profile picture and the project and uh we'll we'll also do a giveaway post after this space and get this recording out and about and get more people to hear this but gosh I am so sorry for the rugged space link and uh I I wanted to make sure that we had as much people as many people here for for taggers as we could but I might have messed up the initial audience I apologize so much but we will we will have an awesome conversation here with taggers and we'll make sure to blast this out and about afterwards as well but uh you guys can get some uh friends in here go ahead and retweet that giveaway post up top and we'll get some more some more people in here but again we're not too uh we're not too worried about the size of the audience we have here we're just excited to have a great conversation I do these selfishly more than anything I love to pick the brains of really brilliant amazing sweet loving people and uh and I I just get so much out of these myself and I'm able to take that and apply it with my community and take those lessons that I learned and pass on to love and I have just here with us an amazing project and I'm I'm almost positive I know who is behind the profile picture uh today but I would love to get an introduction from the person themself go ahead and unmute yourself and let us know who we have here with us from the Amazing Project taggers nft

um

you there with us

oh we are have we are having uh Twitter rug problems today that's okay we'll we'll get uh taggers back in here oh man you guys I'm really I'm really glad you'd hang out with us here on this afternoon and uh I'm gonna make sure that everyone here today that's hanging out with us uh go with something this is really cool for you guys to show up and hop on a space uh even though the the link got messed up so thank you so much we'll make sure everyone here in the in the room I'm taking a screenshot of the ogs here in this space today and hey taggers you're you're back with us how are you hey Lane I'm so

oh can you hear me yep yep so sorry I feel like Twitter was um yeah a conspiracy against us I was trying to unmute and it was not allowing me it was like nope so uh thank you so much I had to to come back um leave and come back but Lane thank you so much for for making this happen I really appreciate it I love talking to you I love listening to to to everything that you have to say as well and I'm hyped about this space I also want to thank everybody that's joining in I sent it to our Discord I'm gonna start sending it um to people in DMS but like you said I love intimate small spaces where anybody can you know feel comfortable to come up and ask questions even if they're not feel free to DM us if you want to participate in and and you know type in whatever you you want to say or or ask and and make sure to cover it um and it really helps you know sometimes people I I know myself I had stage fright uh for a long time before getting used to Twitter spaces um and I feel like those small spaces like this uh you know it's a good practice for anybody who wants to come and and talk and participate in um so yeah I'm excited for this I love your idea as well of of categorizing podcast uh type of thing on your website I think that's a brilliant idea I mean you you spend so much time on Twitter spaces already you're you know bringing so many different communities together um I think you know that's a just another added value that you're bringing to to the panda and uh you're doing an amazing job so thank you so much for for making us um you know one of uh your first uh speakers basically oh I'm so honored that you'd be here with us today and I had the awesome opportunity to co-host a space with you the other day and you are just so much fun and you should be honestly some kind of DJ or radio voice or some kind of radio personality podcast person that personality you're really great with people uh you're really good with conversation and questions and man I you know there's so many things when I'm when I'm thinking about these Panda spaces I kind of like to categorize them right off the bat and I gave our our space here the category giving back but gosh that is just one of a million different topics that I think we could kind of dive in and talk about so I don't want to trap us with that I know uh you know we're in the nft space and of course we want to hear all about taggers and I know that you guys are raising funds for Youth and Foster Care here I know that you guys have just such a great mission of giving back and so I kind of uh centered the conversation around that with the theme today but I think it could go in so many different directions and I'm kind of interested to see where it goes and what I like to do uh is kind of rewind time and go back and even start as a kid I know you know we've heard you as the personality of taggers for so long but I would really like to get to know the person and your story and where it all began and what you were into as a kid and what led you to a that got you to be that took you to C and now you're here at nfts and I would I would love to if you don't mind I know that's uh a little bit outside of the norm and not easy but I just really want to get to know you as a person a little bit would you mind uh doing that for us and giving us the the pleasure of getting to know you and your life story just a little bit oh my God Lane I love that I love that yes uh the Kid in Me is still alive still there and I think that's why you know I um I feel so fulfilled when I I just do art and nfts you know combining those two passion was uh amazing stuff you know in my life but yes I'll definitely do that um and I'll you know I want to know about you as well right after um you know like you said we can go anyway and we're you know knowing the people behind the project I know we have our regular Spiel you know that we say and we have conversation but um I like that angle of you know um the kid question I think it's it's amazing and um so yeah so I'll start and I'm Daphne the artist and founder of tigers for those who who don't know um and uh the reason why I wanted to get into nft as a project founder is because I like you said I wanted to give the the kid alive in me I you know everybody when you know they're around five six have an idea of their first job you know the question that is often asked to a kid is what do you want to be when you grow up uh for me it was an artist like right off the bat I never changed that I'm 32 years old today and it's still my answer when I grew up I want to be an artist my dad was actually a painter he used to do a lot of portraits um I'm super bad with this and hands so I keep them out of my art and that's why hence you know tiger is not having a face um I figured you know incorporating into my style making it my signature style I guess uh having faceless it also allows me to to be um genderless in my characters like like taggers um and and just be focused on Art um uh I always loved cartoon I still do I think you know like every time like Pixar you know comes out with a movie I'm always there I as an artist The Colors the animation the just the evolution of those movies are incredible I still enjoy them I think I will always enjoy them for the rest of my life um always always love cartoon and now as an adult um you know it's it's a way for me to express it into my art I always have this pop art cartoonish or Vibe um and and everything that I do and it's you know a way to tell the audience that you know to remind the audience how things some things were nice when we were kids right uh first of all you would just like you know wake up play eat sleep I mean the dream right the as an adult we have so much more responsibility and and a lot of soul uh joys in life get blurred with with stress and responsibilities and uh negativity and uh for me just reminding everybody that you know the the kid inside them is still alive and you can always you know um find those Joy um is for me it's a goal into you know putting this into my art so um so yeah like I said always wanted to be an artist always um you know played with Legos as well creativity building uh that's something that I always liked then growing up a little bit more uh into teenagers years and and young adults um always wanted to you know keep on building um have I always had this entrepreneur uh um entrepreneurship you know mindset in me before nfts um I wanted to start my own company um into merchandise actually which I kind of merged with taggers because we're gonna have a merch store as well with augmented reality um I worked a little bit in fashion um so I guess that's where you know my passion for uh fashion uh grew um and uh I had to take care of my younger sister as well when our mom a single mom passed away so um you know I had to to drop out of school um and and start working at a very young age and while I was doing this I was coming back home every single night I was I was a waitress at certain point for a couple years and I was teaching myself graphic design on a computer that was actually given to me by a non-profit that helped Youth and foster care because we had to go through the system as well uh with my younger sister when my older brother couldn't take care of us anymore um so I was you know doing my waitressing shift um you know all the way to like 11 midnight coming back home and teaching myself of my design for three four years uh every day on on you know watching tutorials on YouTube until 4am um I was able eventually to um you know work in branding as a graphic designer um I was able to get into this full time I had um you know a role of clientele was getting contracts for many years um and all of a sudden I discovered nfts uh so I came in to the space as an artist uh I think two years ago or so um and I got hired by a project uh to do a pfp collection as an artist um and from there I decided to create my own project um so I've been working in the background with business partners uh we opened a registered company here in Canada

um and we've been working on on a project uh reflecting social economic and environmental issues uh for the past year and a half I would say um this is you know something I want to do for the rest of my life and before that I wanted to get a little bit of experience as a Founder always had little Doodles on my computer so you know gather the team and uh with taggers which is going to be basically our introduction to that dynamic nft project that we've been working in the background so I'm here for the long run you know I love connecting dots I love like always dropping little hints and Easter eggs um so taggers is really just the beginning of my NFC Journey the technology is here to stay it's called Web 3 for a reason right um it's right after wave one or two and um I can't wait for a web four or five I don't know I can't imagine you know what it's gonna look like but I know that it's here to stay um and like I said always wanted to have you know my own business um and I'm just merging all my passions and my hobbies and my love for art into just one whole big ecosystem and helping uh you know demographic that that you know is not often thought of which is using foster care and you know I want to expand that to so many other other philanthropic Mission and I'm merging my pop art my you know street art that I always wanted to do um and the merch you know and for me I couldn't you know imagine doing something else um this is what I love and I'm so grateful that uh you know nfts are around and I got the opportunity to do everything um you know makes a little bit of everything and uh you know I want to keep on involving this this project and um you know just helping out as many people as I can I know that you know the world changes you know with um just a group of people taking action and it's not going to change from one day to another but if we can all take one Mission at a time help at least one person at a time you never know who that person is going to be you'll never know what that person is going what impact they're gonna have in the world um so you know just working on on trying to do my best and and help out I was helped uh I believe you you know what you give what you get you gotta give back as well so that's my way of doing it oh my gosh Daphne I love your story and it blows my mind that you just kind of brush past these huge details like oh yeah and then I took care of my siblings and I you know I had to drop out of school to make it work but no big deal and then I studied till 5am to to learn an incredibly hard thing all on my own and I got it done and look where I'm at and now I'm giving back oh my gosh Daphne you like each one of these each one of these little tiny periods in that story deserves like a whole book oh my goodness like you're you're straight out of a movie of the big sister that that saves the day that is a mother figure to to little siblings and this this is huge for me because I hear you in spaces and I always wonder like I do I think about people growing up and what they're like and what got them here and this is so big for me to know your story uh just because it helps me put little things in little bits and pieces together little comments that you make are that much more sincere to me now you know what I mean not that you weren't ever taken seriously by me I didn't mean that at all or that you weren't sincere before I don't mean that at all it's just that much more you're such a good person oh my gosh I I kind of want to go back on just a few little details um the first first look few little things that uh popped out in my head about art and I think I've appropriately renamed the space giving back art and love I think that just really uh again we could we could title it more things but those are just three things that really stand out about me about Daphne and taggers nft so I think I've renamed it appropriately and um I want to go back to just a couple small little details you mentioned in your art and I love that you you talked about that that art is a big part and passion and love of your life in your art though you mentioned um that you don't like to draw faces or hands and you you like to keep it genderless will you touch on that just a little bit I wanted I want to get to know your art a little bit and dive into that just a little bit more because like I said man these huge details you can just tell your life story so quick but to us it's like oh let's dive into that chapter a little bit more so that's that's my first question of many that I have on my mind right now but uh that's really interesting to me will you expound on that yeah for sure um yeah I like I said I I tried uh you know I think I inherited my my art side from my my dad and uh I really always wanted to do portrait uh I tried and um you know I never took classes or anything I'm self-taught and at certain point I was like why am I complicating my life for nothing what can I just like do what I'm good at um and just you know come up with my own style as well and it's a whole process as an artist I'm still evolving myself um and I always loved um drawing objects uh you know bright colors and um you know I have a uh you know I don't do portrait like I said but like I have a huge painting that I'm looking at right now it's it's a pretty huge canvas that I have in my office and it's uh Muhammad Ali actually in in pop art I think I have a picture of it in my Instagram and I just didn't do a face and I did the whole body shape I did you know stuff around it um and I like it I don't know I think it's it's not you know I didn't start it off of yeah I want to go and and have Jen like this you know characters it's really just the evolution of where my art is it's just like I think that you you your best uh you do your best work whenever you enjoy what you're doing and I didn't enjoy doing faces or hands so I I really just try to incorporate it and make my make it my style um I know there's a couple of other artists that do it and um you know I like I said I always loved cartoons I studied this reminds me of of a good time you know uh in my childhood and uh a lot of cartoons don't have you know portrait they have you know faces but um they don't have like detailed facial expression um and you know this is just the evolution of of the art it was not intentional it's just how it became and um you know for the hands I try to do cartoon hands I think it's it's you know like the Mickey Mouse hands and stuff I think it's much you know easier for me to do that than doing the the position of fingers and stuff because I I think you know like I said I never went to class uh for it but the first thing that they teach you you know is light and stuff and then the anatomy so it's like you know hands position and that muscles and I always I still enjoy it I mean I love it but it's just um it's not something I'm good at so I'm still practicing in the background but I figured doing something that is a little bit easier for me and that merges you know the the cartoon style the pop art style and um I'm just giving it a unique um Flair basically I love that and do you do you have uh you know when you were explaining growing up I feel like I had a pretty nice childhood grew up on cartoons just the good life I grew up in the 90s and it was just a almost a dream and I I you know there are struggles and things happen but it did seem like another another era that a lot of people won't understand pre you know pre-internet you were just given what Nickelodeon gave you type stuff and and you loved it do you do you any cards and specifically that kind of uh influenced you or that you remember that you loved or that maybe even influenced your art style absolutely um I mean yeah the Mickey Mouse uh you know the Looney Tunes I think um whole characters I loved as well I remember drawing my first cartoons when I was like six years old or something uh first memory of trying to draw it and it was Mickey Mouse with um Scrooge my duck I don't know I used to watch cartoons in French French is is uh my first language so in French it's not the same thing but I think it's the three little like nephews or something I don't remember their name in English but um but yeah those were definitely my uh my first memory of of my influence for the art um and then Ninja Turtles you know I'm a 90s baby too um Power Rangers always love those um and uh even until now you know I I still love I love the minions I love uh Big Hero 6 um uh you know that's that was a good movie as well I love the art um and one of my favorite you know animated movie right now until this day is um inside out I believe that is inside uh on the inside out it's um if anybody you know enjoys um any of the the animated movie I would recommend that um and it's not necessarily mostly about the art that uh you know I'm um I enjoy is about the storyline behind it um I was always fascinated in into you know psychology and and human being I'm a people's person I love people um and this movie actually you know uh for those who don't know just expresses the main emotions that human um have and it's for kids and for adults um and not a lot of people know but the one of the consultant of the movie was Dr Paul Aikman it's it's a scientist that um you know published book I have you know all of them in my house I love you know his uh his theories and he basically was a pioneer of micro facial expression and Darwin actually was the first one who who initialized that theory that basically micro facial expression are universal language that no matter what culture you come from what language you speak um we all share emotions that are so minimal and that shows in our face um and they're that's why they're called my quote right um and uh he basically Dr Pollock man basically said that we have I believe seven core emotion like anger sadness Joy Etc um and this movie Inside Out reflects I believe four of them uh four or five of the core emotions and uh Dr Parliament was was a consultant in that movie so for me it's it's one of you know it's not only as the art you know I love watching it but if it has a story behind it as well which is something that I always try to to put into my art as well um has much more meanings like little details you know little Easter eggs and stuff like this this is something that I always loved but uh but yeah I'm still influenced by cartoons basically but Mickey Mouse and Scrooge McDuck was uh my first uh inspiration I bet we could have a really fun time uh going through all the theme songs and singing them out loud I still have them all uh maybe not memorized all the words but oh at least like kicking it off and the tune uh man that brings back a lot of fun memories 90s were a good time I you know it was just a weird little in-between era that a few of us caught and and remember really well and I think will treasure okay so you mentioned that I I did not know this about you and I I think you've probably even mentioned this I guess I just didn't know the details but you mentioned helping out your little siblings and uh having to drop out of school I I cannot help but just my heart immediately goes out so much to you I want to give you a big hug for that period of your life alone I bet was insane and I bet it was hard and I bet it was emotional and I bet it was everything I I don't I don't mean to like touch on a difficult point in your life but I think it says a lot about you will you will you kind of touch on that little period of your life and tell us maybe about some of the struggles and what you had to go through absolutely um yeah so um I mean I would first of all I wouldn't change it for the world because um it allowed my sister to continue her education and you know she's doing her PhD she's doing so much good she has her own non-profit um and she's more into the music side you know but she's still you know there and trying uh to help as many people as she can and we're we're both closely with non-profits that help you use in foster care um so yeah like you know we grew up with a sick mom uh who passed away when we were pretty young um around 11 13 years old 11 months for my sister 13 for me and uh yeah we we had an older sibling as well uh older brother he was 16 at the time and uh we were we went to foster care briefly uh as soon as our mother passed away uh but we were able to convince uh the judge because you have to go to court before you're placed uh we were able to convince the judge that uh we were good you know to live by herself and emancipate my brother um at the age of 16 and um you know we just wanted to stay together because we were uh basically uh we're in the foster care system and not a lot of foster home can take three kids um so finally we were able to live uh together um and you know going to school and stuff and uh it just became really hard for my 16 year old brother to take care of two um you know younger sisters um so uh at the age of of 15 I had to start working while still you know juggling classes and everything obviously going through my teenagers years as well it wasn't easy with all the hormones too on top of you know our life situation um and uh at certain points um a bit older I had to to drop out of school and get into a full-time you know work to help out my brother even then it was it was pretty hard so unfortunately my sister and I had to go back to the foster care system um and uh I was still working um and you know trying to keep up with classes as well like here and there um and as over here in Canada when you turn 18 you have maximum maximum two weeks to leave the foster home um and you have no guidance you you can't keep touch with your social worker or your foster home for at least two years legally so you're really left on your own um and I uh I was briefly as well homeless you know not for for a long time but I did spend a couple nights you know in a park with all my stuff you know uh gathered around me trying to sleep with one eye open um until you know I have you know nice people in my life that that took us in uh my sister as well when she left the foster home um you know we did also sleep you know in a park a couple nights you know here and there um you know and uh you know we're just couch surfing I guess uh from from France to France for whoever was was able to take us uh because it's you know when you start your your life at 18 and even if you have a job um it's hard to get you know uh at least even going um it's it's hard to to to handle all of that um so yeah so I I just you know try to help and help my sister um you know with her school uh financially and and you know so emotionally as well try to put clothes on on her back and stuff um and at this point uh my brother to France uh when my sister turned 18 so it was really just her and I um and you know we were able eventually to get an apartment and stuff um get off you know the couches of people get our own you know uh space and um yeah she continued going to school um it's it's you know like I said she's doing her PhD so even if you know education is here in Canada is much cheaper you still gotta pay so um we you know while she was doing that I was uh I was working to try to like you know pay bills and and and get her her intuition uh paid um and she's brilliant so she got as well a couple of grants that really helped us out and we work with non-profits as well that that did help us out you know like I said my computer was given to me uh made nine years ago by one of those non-profit and I would have never been able to teach myself graphic design and doing nfts without it so um yeah it was it was uh it was not a fun you know uh moment in our life but I am happy that we went through it um you know a lot of time we had to eat ramen but we're still alive we and now we have you know roof over our heads both of us my sister has her own company I have my own she has a non-profit I have a business you know I I can't complain uh and I'm proud of you know where we are right now and you know we're we're not billionaires but we uh we're good enough to have food on the table every day and uh and a roof and and our business so if I can give that opportunity to somebody else um you know that's the goal oh my gosh that my heart is so like it's so full that's such a lovely story your sister gosh what a lucky uh sister to have you as a big sister and you know I I wonder about your brother too and how he's doing and man what a what a struggle and what a what a way to get through it and um you know I I can't help but think that a big part of your mission with raising funds for youth in foster care and obviously the whole mission around social justice a lot of it has to come from from that uh are there other are there other things uh that have happened since that have uh strengthened your desire to to help with those causes uh no like this is you know it's definitely a story and and uh my I'm always really sick growing up but she had um you know her law degree and she had a non-profit as well to help out mostly kids and women and uh you know since uh you know we were kids um I always said I wanted to when she passed away the the nonprofit had to shut down um and I always wanted to to have my non-profit everything that I did even before nfts I wanted to have a merge company um with a buy one give one system like we're gonna do with taggers uh always wanted to begin you know um that having a philanthropic basically mission on top of art um that's something that uh yeah I was always looking up for and uh I'm so grateful that I'm able to mix my passion which is Art and and trying to to help out as much as I can

um and I I think you're doing just a lovely just wonderful job at it I am just gonna uh preach taggers from the rooftops any any chance I get I just love your mission I love your story uh man I I love what you're doing with your your past you know a lot of people could uh have that same story and make you know make up excuses or use it to justify current struggles or you you are thinking those periods in your life and I think that says a lot about you that um you know a lot of us can sit and feel bad for things that have happened to us um and I think that can that can break us down and wear on us if if we do have that kind of attitude with struggles or difficult periods in our lives and if we can get to the point of like I'm thankful for that period man that's above and beyond where I think I am even I can say okay I learned some things I don't know if I'm thankful quite yet so I I have a few degrees uh to graduate to to get to your level of Consciousness I think oh man so tell me about um tell me about your current uh day-to-day life do you is taggers your your full-time thing uh or do you still do you still participate in a quote-unquote day job uh nope before uh before nfts like I said I was a freelancer as a graphic designer and web web designer um and I got into web3 full-time um taggers is is everything like I said um we have a very very long-term uh project eventually you know I'm not in a rush to to to videos I know it's gonna be there for the rest of my life um and I've been working on that in the background um it's a dynamic nft project with uh you know huge roadmap so um until then you know like while working with this in the background I'm I'm working uh on taggers which eventually is going to be incorporated into that huge project um so Tigers is is you know everything that I do uh from morning to night um you know wake up and uh just work on it and won't stop until it's uh successful enough to you know do whatever we want to do which is you know give the majority of um of the funds to nonprofit we're giving about 50 percent of of everything that Tigers is going to make to non-profits and you know still working as well in on on future drops um I'm already you know I already started designing uh another drop that will will have after tagger's um you know don't want to talk about it too much until we actually you know uh sell out one step at a time uh but yeah it's um for now it's all about tigers and I paint on this side as well yeah is that it is painting on the side um kind of uh a hobby stress relief uh or do you do you uh do do you take on commissions or do you uh is that an actual business um I mean I wish it was a huge business but no I do take on commissions um I I you know have a couple of paintings that I did as Hobbies but um I have uh two commission right now lined up um and I put a lot of details in a lot of of you know Easter egg and my stuff and and they always have a story every single element behind um and all the details behind the painting has a story so it takes me a long time to to get them and usually it gets pretty uh pretty big canvases um so yeah I'm still working on it and uh for now I I'm almost done with one commission I'm gonna start eventually the other one but um you know the people that that did commission them know my process and know that uh it's it's gonna be ready when it's ready basically oh I love that we've actually my wife and I have commissioned two paintings now from my knee or not my needs my cousin and she's just a real great painter but we just love to support our favorite artists I would love to see your paintings I know my I've got a I've gotta probably keep it away from my wife for a minute otherwise she's gonna commission you on three or four I mean absolutely it would be my my pleasure my honor um I I have a small Instagram and I'm super bad at social media like tigers really pushed me to be a bit better but I do have an Instagram where you can see um a little bit like you know from my personal account I think it's on my Twitter so yeah feel free it would be my honor to just even uh you know all the good that you're doing so we'll we'll talk in the background oh I love paintings oh my gosh there's just something really really special about holding a piece of artwork on your wall being able to see it every day knowing that the brush Strokes were you know from a real brush and a real person at one point I don't know I just really really love art um I have a question about your current status now are you okay so taking your whole your whole story I know on these spaces you're very extroverted and you know uh our personalities can sometimes kind of come out differently on these spaces we we might be different than in real life how how are you in real life are you extroverted do you like to go out and hang out and party what's what's kind of your your support system of people around you that you really like to spend time with that might be a weird question I'm sorry I love it I love it um it really depends on uh what is the the comparison for right compared to my sister I am introvert like that's for sure she's really the life of the show always like you know she's in the music industry so she's always dancing and singing and stuff like this always going out um I'm I love just spending time at home you know I have my wife I've been with her for uh over 10 years and uh I just you know as long as I have my little you know uh Studio we started with you know very small apartment a shoe shoebox basically and and gradually you know I'm super grateful I I have now my own office you know um and a studio basically uh on top of you know having room in the apartment to move around and uh I love just spending it here and also tiger is taking so much of my time that we literally sometimes that can do 16-hour days uh even more and um I yeah I love receiving people and I'm I'm Mexican Moroccan actually so I had it come from two cultures that um love eating with people and um you know I love cooking so I love receiving people but um you know since covet as well my wife is immunocompromised so we've been trying to to you know be as careful as possible uh but you know I uh I used to to like going out you know getting a drink you know like a good beer um but for now now it's it's I live my my life mostly on on web three uh you know I go out to to you know see friends and family I have a core group um as a waitress I love meeting people that's that's the thing you know like uh and then compared to my wife I'm the extrovert you know but um no I'm I'm you know I was would say I'm in the middle I've been in this play for two years and it took me a year and a half to find the the you know courage to come and talk on spaces so uh I still have my moment you know but uh I you know I how it really helps to have familiar voices and and really building relationship with people uh all of my web free friends you know my internet friends it really helps to to have this and and it's crazy how um you know I was able to build actual genuine human connections with people that have never met in real life that I've never seen uh so yeah I um to answer your question I'm middle of the ground piece of like middle yeah I I would say I feel like I feel like we have a pretty similar personality to be honest I love my little quiet life at home and and it's fun for me to to kind of get out of my comfort zone on these spaces to be honest I I don't like uh being the life of the party anymore I kind of grew up enjoying it a little bit but man the more the more I grow up the more I like being behind the camera if that if that makes sense I did I did work as a cameraman for a long time so well I have okay I have to do this Daphne I love love and we have up top I changed the name to giving back art and love and this just fits so perfectly you brought up your wife I love a good love story will you tell me if that's not so much to ask but I'd love a good love story will you tell me about your guys's story just a little bit and then uh we'll we'll let we'll get back to nft stuff but I can't help myself I love it um yeah for sure it's a simple story um I you know met bumped into my sister and a friend one night um you know downtown and I was just walking I love you know walking uh downtown and um she told me they had a party a friend of hers had a party so I went with them and I knew a couple of people there but obviously you know I was a college party you know so it was it was it was you know a little Chad against a lot of people and all of a sudden I see uh my wife now like walking up the stairs and I see her for the first time and and it was like a kid you know it was like a movie I was like everything book became blur around it I saw her and I was like wow and I went to the friend that I knew that was hosting the party and I was like hey do you know her and she was like Maddie yeah and I was like is she into girls and then she was like yeah and um yeah from there I tried to uh to there was too many people you know uh bad nights but next day I tried to uh get the friend that we haven't commented my sister um to to you know get her back into the the house and and meet her properly um and then there's this saying um student lesbian that the U-Haul is basically once you you me then that's it you're in like a relationship from day one and you just live together for a second you meet uh Wii U Haul together very very quickly um and uh yeah we we just you know uh hang out and from then uh we basically never moved out and we basically live together right off the bat like I was always at her place and uh and yeah she then eventually we got an apartment um we got engaged before covid um and uh you know since I I love a good party as well and I love you know uh food as well where like you know delicacy and stuff I really wanted to go all out for the wedding um and unfortunately with covid we couldn't do that because we have family all around the world um and then unfortunately you know her her dad got sick and passed away this year so we how to postpone it and we're still gonna postpone it so um yeah I I you know I call her my wife because we've been together for 10 years and for me it's just a piece of paper and I just want to party and so for me she's my wife and she's been my wife uh so um that's you know that's about it and now we uh we just you know live our life uh there's a home and and the two of us is sufficient and just like you you know like I did enjoy my little like 20s and and going out and partying but now um I'm just so comfortable just staying at home and and you know watching a movie together or playing video games or just scrolling the internet together oh my gosh that's that's just the life it is when you can be comfortable in the kitchen just doing your doing your things and you might have messed up hair and might not have your makeup done for the day and you're just comfy I love that oh that's just that's Heaven you know oh thank you so much for telling me uh the story I love that I'm I'm a sucker for rom-coms and everything so I'll like be up at 2 A.M in the middle of the night watching a rom-com like bawling my eyes out my wife will come in just like what are you doing again Lane oh my gosh get to bed so I love that I had to I had to get the love story and how does she handle uh your web 3 life does she put up with it or uh has it caused any struggles at all um not super grateful it never caused you know any trouble she's super supportive she is not in it the most that she'll do is you know if I ask her to go and like her tweet she'll do it and and uh you know she she knows you know how it works um she knows I'm passionate about it and um you know she's she's totally supportive she's just not into it and uh also for for the wrong I'm totally the same I love like I I don't watch TV often uh especially now that I'm working you know full-time on on taggers and web threes but when I do like you know once every like you know month and a half two months I I just like burn out and I spend you know the entire day in PJs in front of the TV and I just put one romantic movie I want after the other and my wife is not into that she's like oh my God and she's more into gaming and stuff um but yeah she um I love doing that and she's super supportive uh I I wish you know I would be able to get her into it but um we're super different I'm very artistic she's uh in linguistic uh you know she she prefers reading a book and I prefer drawing images so uh we still you know complete each other and support each other but we don't have the same passions unfortunately each other I guess and that's so I think that's the beauty of relationships and love and man my wife and I we are so different and it just works we we uh fill each other in on strengths and weaknesses here and there and it's it's beautiful and it sure is fun to see who we do end up with and who we find ourselves most comfortable with and I I just love that and I am really excited to blast this recording out after this oh I love this whole interview and Daphne I I am always you know tempted to make these Panda spaces longer than an hour because I could just have a wonderful conversation with you for so long um but I like to I like to keep uh to the times as as much as that's hard for me and so I'd love to give you as much time as you'd like though to present your project and and fill everyone in on the wonderful things that taggers is doing and before you do that you guys thank you so much to the community that joined us today I really I mean I know for a fact that this was lovely for you guys and that you got something out of this with Daphne and taggers so I know it wasn't uh it was a great but I wanna I wanna make it a little bit more of a payoff for you uh just for joining us today and putting up with the mix up with the links and rugging of the first space I really appreciate everyone that did show up today so uh please hop into our Discord and create a support ticket and I'll give you some Panda token uh to say thank you for hopping in here and uh we had a mix-up ah Daphne I'm so sorry about that but I am gonna get this recording out and uh and do a giveaway with it because I really want more people to hear your story and I would also obviously love to let you talk about your project we are in the nft web 3 space as much as I want these Panda spaces to be about love and and other topics I I know everyone here is into nfts also so we're here to learn about that as well and while you're uh telling us about daggers I'll pull a winner for the the giveaway up there if you haven't participated in that and Daphne again thank you so much for being here with us thanks for putting up with the the mix up with the links I don't know if it was my new phone or what uh I got I got a Twitter rug and I couldn't fix it so I apologize but thank you for putting up with that and uh yeah we will we will get this recording out to to more people and make uh more people hear this wonderful wonderful story thank you so much and so uh the time is yours if you'd like to uh touch on anything that we did talk about uh that would be awesome too but for the most part um um I think we're all excited to hear about the project also and so you guys you've heard uh Daphne and her story I really really appreciate you uh for showing up but I would really really appreciate you even more if you really uh dive in and support Daphne and taggers hop into the Discord get involved they've got a wonderful Mission and you're about to hear a little bit more about it and so just do me that extra favor I know just coming and supporting is awesome and I appreciate that already if you want to go the extra mile just dive in get involved with Daphne and the taggers and uh and yeah get excited to hear a little bit more definitely the time is yours thank you so much my friend thank you Elaine Susie um I I think this was my favorite space I think it's it was uh your question are incredible I I loved it um and uh three things before I do the clothes and say man when you talk briefly about Tigers uh first of all Shirley Lowe just did a reaction um you know I just put it I wasn't able to take a snapshot of it it was a Purple Heart uh so thank you Shirley though for being here we know we made it when Shirley joins her room um second of all um you know I I love this uh type of spaces so much that it would be my honor to uh do the same for you I want to learn more about you and and your your dreams as kids so when one day you know we'll talk in the background I would love to to host one um and and get to know you know you a little bit more I feel like I you know I do a certain level because we spend so much time together like on Spaces that were hosting or hosting together or just listening to each other uh but I I would I love love love this space your questions and where it went um and then the third thing um is that I um was I prepared a visual for this space I want to do a special giveaway uh but um I had a meeting right before it and and was able to to finish it and post it but I will do a post about a special giveaway I um one of the traits of the Tigers is a little panda hat that I did especially you know having you in mind uh because I love Panda Mania so I'm gonna I'm gonna post it eventually after the today after the room closes run it for for 24 hours or something um and I'll explain everything on the post so I'll do that you know once the room closes and uh just to wrap it up as well um you know that we want to keep it to an hour so you know like like uh everyone heard um we're really here to help youth in foster care it's a cause that I want to support that is close to my heart um you know we're giving the majority of our profits to three local non-profits uh here in Montreal uh well two actually I'm sorry uh One caresion S uh they have an amazing Mission the other one is Mikasa and the third one will be chosen by the community and it won't have to be any uh locally um and we're going to have a merchandise uh store with augmented reality feature to to every item and a buy one give one system so every time somebody is going to buy a a hoodie or something we're gonna give one to to Youth and foster care and young adults growing out of the system uh the nonprofit that we're helping out um that are we're partnering with help out a young adults all the way way to to the age of 30 and 35 because you know I think at 18 you're still a kid and you know if you start you know with a little bit of a struggle your you know your adult life it still takes a lot of time to readjust and get stable um so we're hopping out you know of that demographic that went through the system um and for the holders you know we're really an art based project um that's simple as that I love art and I want to spread art so we're giving away an all expenses paid trip to art festivals around the world starting with Montreal Canada at a festival called mural Fest a huge huge huge Festival um and uh it's a 10 day long everything is is paid airfare food Transportation we're gonna have a dinner with the team and the other holders we're gonna have um you know tours of private tours of galleries of street art galleries of nft galleries we're going to take one afternoon as well to volunteer with one of the non-profits that we're partnering up with um and we're going to keep on you know around the world I would love to go to Art Basel in Miami the the year after that um and for those who are not able to win that trip we have three ways of winning the trip um we're you know spreading art so we're gonna be get starting actually at the end of this month um giving away one-on-one nft so not pfps actually pieces of art that I have that I've worked on uh throughout the years we're gonna start giving them on our Discord on a weekly basis for taggers holder um you know we're working on as well physical art like hand-painted skateboard decks that we're gonna be giving out um and also paintings real paintings with uh you know attached with an nft um and augmented reality feature to it everything that is going to be physical is going to have an augmented reality feature that it's the merge the the skateboards or the the canvases um I love that technology I think um you know mixed realities is definitely something that is going to help bridging web 2 and web three um so that's that's about it uh you know that's where that's the part of spreading art and a new utility that we're adding as well and we're updating the website soon is that we're partnering up with a lot of projects that we met throughout uh you know the beginning of our journey um and allowing taggers to claim free tickets to in real life events that those partner projects are throwing so if you happen to be in the city and you're available for the time that you know the the in real life event is is being thrown at um and if you hold a tagger you can come and claim your ticket really is going to be implemented soon um you know as in our Discord and in our roadmap uh so you know that's basically in a nutshell how we're trying to really spread um art and and do good by just holding a jpeg so um Elaine thank you again so so so much from the bottom of my heart I can't even express how I enjoy this uh conversation and I wish I could you know ask you all those beautiful questions that she did because I do want to know you know your journey as well um on a personal level you know from you as a kid to you know all the way to your journey to web three uh so hopefully we'll do this again um and again thank you everyone who gave the time to come and listen uh time is extremely valuable it's it's in the you know I think the most valuable currency so uh thank you again from the bottom of my heart for everyone and and for you Lane thank you Daphne from the bottom of my heart and I think this works out perfect because I wanted the conversation to keep going and if you're willing to do a space I'd be willing to uh switch roles and tell tell any kind of stories of mine that would be awesome I would love that one day that would be really fun and uh gosh I do sincerely mean it thank you for taking an hour out of your day to meet with us and these beautiful people today and just like you said time is a currency it's so valuable and to be able to spend it here with you today really does mean the world to me so I I feel like uh we were all really given a really nice gift to it and I think anyone that gets to listen to this recording will uh enjoy it just as much and so I am excited I'm gonna blast this uh recording out with another giveaway and uh make sure that uh people you know hop in there and actually listen to it because I think once they get going with this it's such a great story that you have Daphne really inspiring it's going to be hard for anyone I'm really excited to add this to our catalog uh as soon as I get that done on our website I I am excited to kind of uh Market that so to so to speak in the future where we have just a lot of great conversations with great people and by all means I am no podcaster but we have so many great people in this space that I think the world needs to know about just like Daphne and I want to thank your wife also for can you be here with us to stay and I uh I Gotta Laugh at to you there but it is true I'm not I'm not joking I've got my family and my relationships and I know how it is and so these spaces when you take time out of your day to do these it really does mean a lot to me so I I have a winner for the giveaway up top and again I wanted to remind you guys anyone that hopped in here live please hop into the Discord let me know that you're here I've got some screenshots also of people that are here live with us so thank you guys so much I'd love to gift you with a little bit of panda token we will start pumping that here shortly once we connect it to our uh our video game and so we will we will pump that token so it'll be fun to hold on to some of that and uh I do have a giveaway winner but before I read that off Daphne is there anything else Russia I always just like to give the community a heads up that I myself am going to start shutting up and and uh stop bugging with Quest questions and I like to give them a heads up that I'm kind of wrapping things up on my end but I never I never want you to feel rushed at all is there anything else or any tweets that you'd like to pin up top uh to to tell people about any specific things I sure don't want to make you feel rushed at all with uh with your Ed not all seriously um you you have this gift that I think of making people so comfortable thank you so much um you know I I'm like I said I'm gonna do a tweet with maybe the the recording the link of the recording I'll hit you up in the background back end uh for that for a special giveaway and um thank you again and and you're right shout out to all the partners of all of us um you know they did you uh put in the work and put up with us you know by by just spending so much time on Twitter spaces so um I will thank her um you know on your behalf and um thank you again for everything out that I'm looking forward to the next one to your next guest and uh I'll do um I won't pin anything but I'll do another post uh very shortly with the link of the recording so we can surprise people to start listening to them on their own time so again I wish you the best of the best of the day I know you have another space soon so hopefully you get a little bit of rest before and I'll be there to support on the other space and thank you again it was such a pleasure I think like I said it was my my favorite space
