happy Wednesday everybody I am excited for today my dogs are excited everyone's getting excited today it's an NFA mint day and somehow I was lucky enough to get Sid the man here with us for an hour on his midday I don't know how we were able to do this but I've been dying to pick uh Sid's brain here for for months now and I am just really excited that we've got a full hour to sit down and and uh just get some great inspiration motivation and some wisdom from our friend Sid and obviously we've got some some big news today with NFA and so we'll dive into that as well and uh Sid I'd like to welcome you to to a panda space as always sometimes my dogs will be causing a ruckus in the background but I've got them mostly taken care of but for the most part here on this show we like to dive into the brains of amazing people and you know sometimes it has to do with nfts sometimes it doesn't it just so happens that you're an amazing person and you do have an nft project which is awesome them and we are partnered with NFA which is even awesomer so we're just really really honored to have you here and we're excited to get into all the nuts and bolts of NFA today I know it's going to be hard for us not to dive into those details but uh I would like to start off with getting to know you just a little bit and if you wouldn't mind giving us just a little background on yourself and letting us know who we have with us and I also see that you brought up pickles and I I love that guy's brother I for for like I'm like a little bit space I didn't realize I shouldn't have brought to me up at your space to control the floor uh but I saw I saw pickles who's my brother and I was like oh [ __ ] I gotta have him here but you you can throw them down off the stage anytime you want he doesn't mind I'm a degenerate you can throw me down it's fine no problem pickles you can you can stay on up here we hey this is your space Sid this is this is your hour uh you know I've given it a a theme I put up their Hustle Hard full time I've been watching you sit and I don't know if I've met a person that works as hard as you or as smart as you you know some people work really hard but they don't work uh very smart and you seem to be able to do both and so I could have put up there a theme uh I could have chosen one out of a hundred that we could have gone with uh as far as what you're capable of your seal set your talents um and that's just one that I kind of picked out of many and so I've just been completely baffled by your your work ethic and how you've been able to pull together and create this community that you have because you know you have your project uh I met you first with with crypto homies and that was amazing and then you come out of nowhere with this NFA project and start bringing the whole damn Community together I'm just I'm just really marveled my man and I I didn't bring you on here just to kiss your ass the whole time but I I just wanted to give my little uh intro of my friend Sid and I would love for you to give us just a little uh background of yourself and maybe tell us a little bit about growing up even and what got you to this point that you're at right now well first of all I appreciate you uh you know putting this together for us and and for everybody who showed up here this morning I I obviously a lot of people I see in the audience have been hanging with us for for months and put in a lot of time the last few days supporting NFA so I just want to first off say thank you um it means a lot and you know we're super humbled by all the support and all the love we're getting from everybody um and Lane obviously you know watching you in the spaces and learning from you trust me you're a legend and you know I I spent a lot of time uh before we really got rolling with our projects we we started building NFA almost two years ago uh and we only really uh introduced the homies um maybe in January so we I spent a lot of time just watching and learning and really learning from everybody in the spaces and how they talked and you know I I wasn't really I never thought I would actually be up on Spaces I had a person that we brought in to kind of handle the Social Media stuff and it wasn't until there was a there was a little you know the ball was dropped and I had to pick up the ball and run with it and I'm not that guy I just I've never been a social like a social guy in social media although I owned a social media company 10 years ago um I never built up my following I didn't really care about it nor did I really even understand what it meant I knew what it meant for other people I just didn't know what it meant for me so you know being able to come on these bases and actually you know finding my voice and then finding the audience to hear what I had to say and hear what our mission was with NFA has been really humbling so I'll start there um as far as me uh you know I I I really didn't you know my path is has been a wavy a wavy Road I I originally started thinking I was going to be a doctor and went to school to be a doctor uh I was in a biomed program and I did my first product when I was an undergrad I was always a hustler I was always making deals and coming up with business ideas as a kid and always getting in trouble for selling legal things I wasn't I wasn't an illegal dealer but I was definitely a dealer I I sold food I sold gum I I came up with different different things you know growing up I I always joke I was the original uh doordash because I I was at a food delivery service in Elementary School uh starting in eighth grade where I had food delivered to the school and I'd have the kids call me at night time and I would put their orders together and then the person would drop the stuff off at me at school and I would give all the kids their food uh which is crazy and I got in a lot of trouble for that and that continued I had a lot of food businesses like that wherever I could get food delivered or do those kind of things and actually made you know for a little kid I would sometimes leave school with a hundred dollars you know in eighth grade which was just crazy but uh you know really my my first business was born in college I invented a hat I had this idea for a hat uh all my fraternion brothers made fun of me uh and I ended up you know going to my family and saying hey you know I I don't think I really want to be a doctor it's not really what's in my heart and my in my blood but um you know what do you guys think if I go try to do this hat idea I had and my my family were super supportive and said why don't you take off a semester and just try it and I did and you know right place right time came out with this hat which was called the original brimless cap and went to my first trade show and did almost a million dollars in sales and so I I remember leaving that show um with my with my roommate and my my partner and you know who worked with me for years and we had a stack of like a thousand orders it was like the craziest thing walking from uh you know to the hotel and being like dude can you believe this I have like a thousand Stores um and at that time at my first trade show Cirque du Soleil saw my products and uh Sony saw my products and all these big people so I started making all the hats for uh for Cirque du Soleil and I started to make stuff for Sony and next thing you know I'm in the hap business and that story kind of goes that you know without getting too granular uh you know right place right time ended up at another show in St Louis and met a guy who made backpacks and two weeks later he hit me up and was like yo um uh you know I'm I'm here with Michael Jordan at Oakley now and he saw your hats and loves your hats can you design something for him and can you come to the office and present it so at the time I already had a little Factory I had like you know 15 20 people working and cut and sew and embroidery and I literally came up with this hat idea for Jordan which became one of my best-selling hats of all time and uh went to Oakley they saw my hat he fell in love with it and he started wearing the hat and they put it in his the ad campaign for Oakley and uh Nike sued Oakley when that ad came out because they owned uh Jordan's head he wasn't allowed to wear another another brand on his head except for Nike and that literally had my company exploded I went from like a 4 000 square foot factory into 18 000 square foot factory literally overnight and it had 150 employees and it just blew up for me and again just being at that trade show I remember being at that show was it was called it was called camex which was a call it Mark call it College Market Expo and um I had signed about 150 colleges for to do my hats and at that time I maybe had 10 or 15 different designs and my main cap was a brimless baseball cap so and I got a patent on it so imagine everybody was turning their hats to the side and putting their hat backwards well I started cutting off my brims in college and everybody thought it was silly but I got a patent on it and then I put I put a hole in the brim of a hat and I put a ring and I got a patent for pierced hats and now Peter's hats are selling it like you know Balenciaga is selling Pierce hats for a thousand dollars but that was my patent back in the day um so I did all these I had all these hats at that show and I was so I was so like uh I was so bummed because when I got there to this trade showing how all these college hats up and my hats look different than everybody else everybody else had baseball caps and and beanies but I had like Fashion Hats that were colleges but I wasn't a CA I wasn't a Barnes Noble uh vendor and I wasn't a follitz vendor and if you weren't vendors for those two groups they they controlled the college bookstores and stuff and so stores couldn't buy my stuff so I was like at the show kind of bummed I wasn't getting the same response I was getting at the other trade shows but like I said I was in the right place right time across in this guy who literally went from a a unknown backpack company to being the head of of stuff over at Oakley and kind of changed the whole trajectory of my career so from hats I I built this company we we I bought another company that did cut and sew and supplied all the all the cut and so um advertising especially or promotional jackets for all the hotels in Vegas and all the studios and all the concerts and so we we have this nice business going my mom was my partner which was really fun and we built this business together for for years and years and end up selling that company uh and as a fluke one of my boys I grew up with called me and said hey um you know one of our other friends family created Rock Your Picture Show in Cheech and Chong and a bunch of other titles said yo what do you think about doing Rock Your Picture Show toys and I'm like yo I love that's like one of my favorite movies of all time I'd love to so again like overnight I'm in the now I'm in the toy business and literally cold called every every retailer and at the time uh you know we had Tower Records and Music Land and Warehouse records and Transworld and all these stores that carry toys and I literally cold called the guy Kevin over at uh Tower Records they were up in Sacramento their offices and drove to Sacramento um and went there and again my first order to Tower Records Was a million dollars I I was like shocked they literally wrote that like the hugest order ever for Rocky Horror Picture Show toys and I was like holy [ __ ] now I'm in the toy business like it's happening and I had no idea what the hell I was doing kind of similar to how it was when I started my hat company I had no clue I I took my first hats to the tailor uh and you know who did my pants and just said dude can you cut off my brims and finish my hats off for me and those are the samples I had my first samples and similar to the toys I literally like made a skull paid a guy to sculpt The Rocky Horror went there made a sale sheet and next you know I'm in business so um you know started to build this toy thing did Rock Your Picture Show Cheech and Chong um it started to come up with my own ideas with this Rim Riders and then um luckily again I just was reading an article in in the LA Times about uh Snoop and he had started a clothing company called Snoop Dogg clothing at the time and there was a guy's name listed in the in the in the newspaper and I called him uh you know I just called 4-1-1 in New York I'll never forget I don't know if you you guys probably all be young but you would just call you know the area code you wanted information and 555-1212. so I called up New York and there was three guys with that name listed and the second guy called was this guy and I was like yo um you know I would love to connect with I love what you're doing with this clothing I love to connect with Snoop and uh make toys with him and he literally said let me call you back in 10 minutes he called me back in 10 minutes and said he said Snoop said he's going to be in Vegas next week for the magic show which is a clothing convention like one of the largest and said come meet him there so you know again showed up over there uh and you know literally within minutes of meeting Snoop uh we were in business together and we spent we spent that day together uh after he was done at the show and hung out and told him about my vision of what I wanted to do um and he said you know the famous line was let's do it like yesterday I'll never forget that because I I literally left that meeting and had them sculpt this this the head for the toy for Snoop and make a prototype and I brought it to Snoop so fast that literally his next album was coming out which was called The Church the palace that that had that was the first single and that's just that's the album that had the song Beautiful which was his first uh collaboration with with Pharrell and uh snoop's like yo I decided I'm gonna he called the toy Little Junior uh because it you know looked like him so he's like yo Little Junior and he's like I'm gonna I'm gonna put the toy as the star of the music video um and so they they created a whole thing around this toy uh for the first single and and VH1 did a behind the scenes of making the video which was totally rad so not only did I have Snoop totally in with me VH1 was behind it and then Snoop did what Snoop does he took this toy in every show I mean he took it on Conan O'Brien The Today Show The Tonight Show anywhere he could take the toy he took the toy um and at the time there was no Google really I mean Google was there but we no one knew what the hell what was Google at the time like what it was going to do or the power of Google there was no social media and again somehow some way I got 50 000 people to mail me a check for 59.99 and you know I had three million dollars in the bank that allowed me to kind of build that company was just it was crazy and kind of uh that kind of like changed again that kind of changed my whole my whole future and where I was headed and so I built that toy company uh ended up building a couple more toy companies um you know creating my own IP getting heavily into licensing all the whole time I'm doing this I'm building major licensing relationships so you know whether it was Rocky or picture show Cheech and Chong uh Hello Kitty Paul Frank Marvel um who am I missing here uh Rock uh Desperately Seeking Susan which was which was Madonna which was a great story because they didn't realize Madonna gave up her rights to her likeness and her name for that movie I mean I it obviously they knew it but they didn't realize that how impactful that was and I remember sitting with them at the meeting going through the book of licenses that were available and I really went there to get the license for Rocky for the Sylvester Stallone movies I really wanted to make those toys and so I'm going through the book and Desperately Seeking Susan is there and I was like oh what uh Roseanne Arquette like who who can I make toys with and like oh no you can do Madonna and I like pass I totally did like a poker face I like just kept flipping through the book like I did didn't pay attention to what they said and then I was like you know something I'll I would love the rocky license and you know some just for fun I don't know what I can do with it but let's do the Desperately Seeking Susan uh and so they gave me the license I think I paid a thousand dollar advance for this for this Destiny Seeking Susan was the biggest joke ever and then of course they we after I signed a licensing deal I went into 20th Century Fox and I had a meeting with all these execs and like you know I'm just like a punk ass kid at this time still I mean I'm an adult but I still was just to me I was just a punk ass kid which I still feel I am but I walked in there and I'm like like a high on life like floating around snapping my fingers like yo and I remember I'm like yo I'm the only person in the world that can make Madonna toys and they like looked at me like what the [ __ ] did we do and I'm like yo uh Madonna gave up her rights or a likeness her voice and her name to be in that movie that's how badly she wanted to be in that movie so they're like wait a second do you mind if we take some time to make sure that we don't uh that we didn't do a screw up here uh and and make sure we're cool I said yeah no problem I mean I had a iron-clad deal they couldn't take it away from me and honestly I don't think Madonna was too thrilled uh that anybody was making toys with her likeness but that was just the facts or the facts and we actually did a really nice job on those toys if you guys get a chance look up Desperately Seeking Susan and vital toys you'll see the toys and I'll say this about making toys especially when you're making a face that's the size of a quarter it is very hard to get somebody's likeness even even on the Snoop toys if you look at the Snoop toys we did the likeness is so can't it's like right on but with women unfortunately because it's it's it's so subtle like you know most the time if you're if you see they made a a toy for Dick Tracy for Madonna not using Madonna's name but they'll just put a mole you know or something on the face to kind of mimic the character of the person but it's very back then especially it was very hard to get the likeness right but our likeness for Madonna was pretty phenomenal um so whatever so we I did all these toys um ended up you know selling the different toy companies building a couple more toy companies Super Rad toys and vital toys um got into uh ended up starting a bluetooth company with some friends and we were the largest licensed bluetooth company in the world for about six months uh this was around the time where you had to wear you you had that Bluetooth in your car uh or you'd get a ticket if you were talking on your phone and literally within six months of us starting that company every every car came with Bluetooth and that was kind of the end of of that of that company but it's interesting you know Apple has been so successful with their air pods and if you take a look again the company is called ear Looms e-a-r-l-o-o-m-z which I recommend if you guys have a minute Google ear looms and take a look at how dope this brand was and really how ahead of our time we were each of these each of the Bluetooths were basically themed uh you know branded so we had we had a I think I think we spent a million dollars ahead of time and got every license so we wanted to own the category we literally had we we literally had the NFL we had Lady Gaga we had uh Star Wars Star Trek all the Looney Tunes all the you know Elvis anything you can imagine Betty Boop Hello Kitty I mean every single any license I could get I got and and we really the idea was uh if you ever heard anybody say this was literally to just close the category so no one else you could come along and pick another license and try to make a similar product but uh I I feel like that if if they put those out today as as you know earbuds that had you know cool branding on I think they would be huge maybe it's something Ronnie and me and the Gang need to revisit at some point in the future but so got into that ended up starting some technology companies um and and built some apps uh probably you know one of the most famous or fun ones was our our Wilder farters uh original farting machine that was from the Howard Stern Show um and then whatever we kind of did that for a while we built a couple other apps one of the apps we built you know what how I kind of said about doordash I feel we created Tick Tock like 15 years ago uh the the app was built I went and got all the rights to all the music from every every Studio that you could take and make your own video on social media with the music and then share it and it was exactly like Tick Tock uh but we ended up having a guy come in buy out the company um and that that app was kind of just you know thrown on the floor and they never put it out you know which is typical uh when a lot of companies buy their companies are either trying to get them out of the business so that they don't compete with them I don't know why they ended up buying this company from us but they didn't use any of the technology that we developed uh they just bought the company and then about eight years ago you know I'm skipping here and there eight years ago me Ronnie and Diane connected uh Ronnie and Diane had had built this product that was an emergency battery for cell phones um and a mutual friend of ours James uh called me which he does all the time be like yo Sid I I saw this dough product and I thought of you and so he showed me this product and told me about this product I'm like Yo dude that is a sick freaking product like I was kind of Blown Away it was like a little battery that was just already charged and you just stick it in your phone and it gave you juice and I'm like whoa that's that's nuts and so I met Ronnie and Diane and again it changed my life we were it was like instantly we're like okay let's do this together and we we spent event you know a couple years developing the product going to China building it out with our partner out there Jack who I've been with for over 20 years and we developed this brand called juice to go and it's it's it's literally uh to this day I think like one of the sickest products I've ever seen as far as Innovation especially for emergencies taking like the hurricane that's going on right now where if you don't have power what do you do and this way you literally have these batteries that are ready to go and you can just stick them in your phone and so uh we started working together we built this company called up in the lab um and the idea was it for to you know just uh I think our trademark or our our uh quote of the company was you know cooking up cooking up fresh [ __ ] every day I can't remember what we what we said I know Ronnie do you remember what it was I'm spacing I don't know but it was it was really an incubator for us to come up with dope products and I think over the last eight years we built you know 10 different brands uh a lot of the brands we did direct to Consumer uh and then uh a few years back we uh Diane who's from Colombia we decided to start this this company called four keeps roses and if you guys are familiar with preserve roses uh it's a really high-end brand typically they come in these boxes um and um you know they they can sell upwards of you know a thousand dollars eight hundred dollars uh you know one rose uh companies they sell from like 59.99 for one rose I've seen them up to 199 dollars so we're like yo let's let's start our own brand but instead of trying to compete with all these people let's take it to the mass market so um we I literally went out and hustled and built a major relationship with 7-Eleven and I remember Ronnie and I the first 87 stores that we got into Ronnie and I rented a U-Haul and we made these posters if you guys you know when you go by 7-Eleven and you see like um uh Red Bull posters on the Windows uh at 7-Eleven so Ronnie and I made these posters that are special they had like these little holes in it so that when you're in 7-Eleven you can see through them uh but from the outside they look like a solid poster so we spent a fortune of things and we literally went in like gangsters we would pull into the store in the U-Haul Ronnie I would go in and at the time like because we were a new vendor I literally had to go into their computer which would be in the back of the store and put in all the UPC codes put in all the information Ronnie would get up on a ladder outside the store and slap this poster on like right at their front door just like totally gorilla style nobody approved it no 7-Eleven Corporation approvement and like you just boom it's like this huge thing of our Rose in the front of the store I'll never forget like we did our first 87 stores and it was it was a grind you know we're like literally we mapped out you know from our place and like drove I don't know how far we drove 100 miles and back and forth and kind of did this and then I ended up going out to corporate in in uh in Texas and they kept calling me yo Mr 87 yo Mr 387 and when we went in there like yo you're like your [ __ ] sold out 87 in a week or something crazy like our numbers were out of control and that was it we we got approved by 7-Eleven from the corporate level um I think at this point we're approved for all 17 000 stores we shipped to like 10 000 of them and we've been in there in there with our roses and we kind of commandeered the the at the cash register you know it's like one of the most coveted plate one of the coveted places in 7-Eleven is to have your product at the cash register we just kind of placed it there like we just went in like gangsters and be like yo this is sitting right here next to M M's next year lighters like we're putting our roses here and it's funny because if you can imagine you know a case of beer 7-Eleven only makes like 80 cents it you know they sell a gazillion case of beer on one of our roses they make eight bucks so every time they sell a rose it's like selling 10 cases of beer so we we went in there and we built that business and so we four keeps has been going for a while um and then you know we built other things and we're doing this and that and like two years ago um you know we were looking at nfts and and it really kind of sparked something in us you know I I always talk about that uh when I saw the nfts I'm like man these are toys and and I love toys I'm like okay this is this is a space I want to get involved in and we all we all sat together like yeah let's let's go for it and uh I'll I'll kind of cut the airlane and let you take over but that's kind of how we we got to where we're at today um and I didn't get to talk about Ronnie and Diane's uh you know what their careers but you know Ronnie came to this country with a hundred bucks and built multiple businesses built one of the largest um of uh nutraceutical companies for kids Diane uh you know coming from Colombia built major companies herself um and was doing international business like you wouldn't believe like crazy crazy businesses um and so when we came together was like this Trifecta of a people who work like animals uh people who had always also been screwed over like animals and so we had a common Bond of like okay let's let's team up and put all of our energy together and build together and so that's that's that's when we when we when we got together and built up in the lab and built four keeps and we built so many Brands together you guys choose to go we did a product called Car Doctor we did remember those teeth whitening uh things that you saw on social media where you plug it into your phone and it lights up we we had our company called mobile white with with Dr dwarf and it was like you know he's like one of the most famous um famous dentists in the world and we built a company called shield and we built a company called um a dual Magic Flash I mean we built all these companies and then like I said we got into uh web web three two years ago uh and that's I'll go back to you Lane bro oh my God I think I puddled the space absolutely perfectly and you you just blew my mind I I knew part of your story and not to that extent and I just have to tell you going all the way back uh your story of selling candy and food cracks me up because my brother uh he's 12 years older than me I have I have another brother that's 15 years older than me and the the one that's 12 years older than me man he was just an entrepreneur since birth and he would get in trouble for doing the same things and so I took notes and I I figured out how to do the kind of the same things he did without getting in trouble and oh man it it cracks me up too because you talk about how you kind of had these uh family expectations of you know and you even started to go to school for it man I really relate to that part of your story too because I'm the youngest of six and all of my family has graduate degrees and you know they they've all got business degrees and law degrees and here I am number six the son of a federal judge and my dad would just tell me every day you know oh Lane you're gonna knock it out of the park for this family what do you think in Harvard Law Harvard medicine you know and just really really uh and I was set up for it I had good grades and I I went to school but I just it wasn't for me man I dropped out I started doing what I wanted to do and I remember that conversation with my parents I started to cry and it was the hardest moment of my life because I was going to let my debt down and my parents they just look at me and they're like Lane just tell us what's going on just spit it out are you did you get a girl pregnant are you are you addicted to something and I was like oh that that kind of made it easier I was like no I just just don't I have these ideas and I don't want to go to school anymore I just remember that moment of like freedom and I I just jumped into so much and entrepreneurial spirit is just in my blood and so I I want to ask you this um I feel like I was kind of born with a drive a certain drive right and I I think listening to you uh it's hard to it's hard to say that you weren't born with something special at a certain drive you know you kept saying right place right time but I don't I don't necessarily agree with that I I think you put yourself in those places all the time and that kind of Habitual lifestyle requires uh a lot of a lot of organization a lot of skill sets and so I want to ask you do you do you think you were born with that drive with that hustle uh or do you think it's something that you learned and do you think that people can learn that okay first off let me just say this I just posted something at the top I'm going to do a giveaway in here you guys I'm going to give away a hydro hippo and I also put in there the link to our our mint party so just so everybody who's here can figure that out in Lane if you could at the end just pick the winner and send me a DM so I can get that out to somebody and again I appreciate you having us here I know we're 22 minutes away from our our Min event and I'm going to jump off here in 15 minutes so I can go to the bathroom and then prep myself and get ready to rock and roll but yeah I'll say this it's funny because I I remember you know I I went into this biomed program at UC Riverside that you were guaranteed medical school if you made it through and I remember walking through the dorms I checked into the dorms early morning the first day that you could get in and I left I didn't even stay there to meet my roommate I left to go see a concert that night so I came the second day and I remember walking through the dorms and looking in the rooms and kids had the periodic chart of elements up on their wall and I call my dad who's a was a ophthalmologist I'm like yo this is crazy like there's people have like charts on their walls and they're they're like going through paperwork already and they're like looking at books and he's like school started I'm like no it doesn't start for two weeks what are you talking about he goes no no no school started and I was like oh [ __ ] like this is crazy and I was super nervous when I went to them but it's funny my dad was who's always been you know my family's been super supportive with all my brothers my brother was a tennis player and ended up he's now an infertility doctor my other brother was a was in a punk band and wanted to tour the world and became a you know a super successful attorney and so I was like I thought for sure like I was just going to be a doctor like that's what I'm supposed to do I never was told that's what I had to do was never pressured but I when I went to him they were so cool to like yo like go try it and see what happens worst case scenario you'll go back and continue which I did go back to school so I was running my business while I was in school but I I I wasn't doing the pre-med [ __ ] anymore I was president of my fraternity and president of this and president of that and partying and having a good time while I was building my business but I remember that talk with the family and and then I remember writing my first um my first resume with my brother and he he put up self-graduated and I was like oh that's that's kind of weird like I I was like okay that's cool but I I ended up transferring over to SC to get into the entrepreneurial program and the guy didn't let me in after you know I had to write a paper to get into the program and he was like he called me in the office he's like yo I'm not letting you in the program like why and he's like how many employees do you have right now I'm like 150 and he's like let me just say this uh 99 of people that graduate Harvard Business School um will go work for a company and make 150 000 a year for the rest of our lives and will never start their own business he's like you've already started your own business you're 20 years old go [ __ ] do your business and I'm like but I don't know any accounting I don't know this he's like trust me you're going to learn it all and that was it and so um but as far as the drive thing I just think that was me I think like you said it's just it's part of my blood just like my dad was meant to be a doctor or you know my mom is an entrepreneur so I think I got a lot of that from her my dad although he was a huge fan of what I always did and got behind me and supported me and actually invested in a bunch of my companies um you know he wasn't he wasn't he didn't have the entrepreneurial Spirit although he loved like going with me and shopping to buy equipment for my family he got so into that and just watching me be successful just like he was with all of his kids he was like super proud and it was like he loved it and he'd always tell me like I'm betting on you I'm betting on you you're the one I'm betting on you and so he always gave me that encouragement um but yeah I think it's I think it's in your blood I do think it's something that you can you can teach yourself I just think that most people you know it's scary Lane you know you know how it is it's like it's not like you know I've never had somebody write me a check I've never I've never been in a situation where I'm like okay I'm gonna get paid I mean that's not true as an adult I've consulted for people and they paid me to consult him but I'm saying historically in my career it's not like I I had uh somebody like okay you're gonna get a salary and go work for somebody and work a nine to five so I always had to figure out my own way and um and thankfully I was able to do that right so I I do think it's something that people can learn I just think it's it's one of the scariest things ever is to really just go do your own thing and not have that um you know not have that uh job security or security of you know know what what's next but it's it's that drug and that's like my drug people say like what drug do you like or people always ask me do you gamble I'm like yeah I'm like the biggest Gambler in the world I gamble on every one of our ideas you know when Ronnie me and Diane start like we gamble on our ideas and and I'll sell my shoes and my clothing uh if I believe in our in my idea or or a combined idea so I'm not a guy who goes to the table and spends thousands of dollars I've never been a gambler like that but I'll gamble on an idea and so I just think it's in my blood and in all of our blood Diane's blood the rest of our team all of us are whether it's Jen or Jim or you know Jim's an attorney and heiress who's built major successful businesses all of us um we we were all pretty entrepreneurial and spirit um and and I think that's what makes our team successful I think so too it's it's definitely something that uh you can tell you you were born with there's people that that learn skills and and become better at stuff but man someone that's slinging candy bars as a kid it's just I would agree I think it's in your blood it was fun it was it was actually my my first product was this Japanese gum and my oldest brother uh brought it home and it had a little tattoo in it and it literally was a store that you know I had to be driven to to go get it there were five cents a piece and I go buy like 10 bucks of this gum I'd sell it for 50 cents a piece at school um and I remember you know those those I don't know if they how long they've been doing that but those that you know you're for your uh if you have braces and stuff you have that night guard thing and I got an extra pouch from my doctor it was a blue pouch and I used that pouch to put my money in every day and I I would I would literally leave school with a hundred bucks it was the craziest [ __ ] like people would come up to me all day long yo you got a piece of that gum you got a piece of that gum and I would be selling this gum and I would go home and I would roll all the money up part of it was like that whole thing like rolling the quarters into my rolls and stacking all these rolls in my in my in my I'd like this uh this area in my closet I just was stacking all this money and then when I I turned 13 I ended up taking like two or three thousand dollars I had made and I I drove my bike over to Merrill Lynch um and opened up a an account to buy stock and I had no idea what the hell I was doing I'm just like I'm gonna go get stock and bought Disney and ColecoVision and whatever whatever stocks I bought but yeah it's I think like you said it's in your blood I think most of the people who are in this web 3 space or businesses it's in their blood right like we're all very passionate about building something and you know a lot of people in here are young and are are starting out and either have decided to change their career and put open all their energy into this web three thing or this is their first Venture um and so you know it's a it's a wild fun path um I'm super excited to be in web 3 I think it's I think it's really is the future it's it's like the next it's the next um it's the next big I don't want to call it a technology because it's not so much a technology as it is just you know the next evolution of everything like whether it was Webb or whether it was you know when when we moved from seed Muse you know records to CDs to digital this is this is the future and I know we always say oh we're early but it's going to be crazy to see how much these contracts these these um uh you know blockchain contracts are integrated into our lives over the next 10 years it's going to be in every aspect of everything we do so I I'm I'm I've obviously I'm super bullish I'm super bullish on what NFA is doing um I'm I'm a huge believer in the web too don't get me wrong because we are we are a web 2 business and I think in order to have a successful web 3 business at least my My Vibe is you need to have that web 2 component and whether it's it's making merch or it's building other businesses out of your out of your brand that's physical that you can actually touch see and feel um because that that's for sure right at the end of the day um you know you've done that with your brand and and you see donkey kicks doing it with their shoe brand and you see you know Brando doing it now with you know the mutant pizza and you know giving IP rights to people and um you see you know egg building out a you know a um a way for people to a a platform for people to be protected I mean those are businesses these aren't just um yes there's a pfp but these these are really well thought out businesses smart people you know really thinking [ __ ] through and I I hope everybody realized that that there's a it's not just yes there's pfp projects that the person's picking up at pfp and that's it and maybe they're going to steal your money and run to wherever and go sit on the beach but you know thank God the project Partners we've connected with as far as I'm concerned really have heart and vision and um that's that's what I think is going to make NFA successful and I think as a core group together that's what's going to make each other successful and but getting behind these projects together and building together that's why I say always let's build this together this is this is the future for all of us and I you know when I watched the space a year ago and I think you'll agree Lane people didn't want to [ __ ] with each other you know there was this there was a really different kind of vibe of people doing their own thing and being not really open and now it's all about us working together it's it's it's all about us supporting each other because that's how you build and I I always say we're stronger like you know if you take the 200 projects that we've kind of put together we can move any direction we can take this nft space in any direction and it's like almost if we had us if we really had a council like when I go deal with uh 7-Eleven they have their franchise Association and you have you know 75 residents of all these different uh you know Regional areas if you take all of us together you know we can move we can move Stronger Faster bigger than a Bassy and all these guys yes they're a five billion dollar company yes they're they're the [ __ ] but we can do it too and and I really believe that oh man I'm so glad I have this recorded I'm gonna I'm gonna pump this space after this with another giveaway and I want to uh thank you for shouting out donkey kicks we've got our shoe dropping with them this week and I'm so excited Sid that uh we have some opportunities with you and NFA for some twos look at our adorable pandas can you just imagine the toys bro we could do anyways so cute because with the pandas we should definitely be doing plushies like oh yes all you got to do with that brother seriously if you send me uh uh you know you send me one of your 3D things I can literally have a plush sample in the there's a thunder in every single space I go into everywhere bro they're everywhere I love them never love you guys I love that logo showing up ever I'm just scrolling you guys are everywhere yeah
